Want to bring seasoned pepper onboard

Nobody is even going to notice you have it. But, just in case someone does... make sure it is in the original container.

Really though, unless it was a large size and might look like booze on the xray - no problem.

I use Montreal Steak Seasoning on just about everything (instead of salt & pepper).

Can I bring an unopened plastic container onboard to use?

Open or sealed, you can take it both on to the ship and off the ship.

I do it all the time. I take the same Montreal Steak Spice - a smaller "travel" size. I also take it home. Never had any issues with the ship customs or otherwise.

Sambal Oelek for us. Got turned on to that many years ago when our Indonesian waiter on HAL introduced us to it. Usually available only in the crew mess so we bring our own. Hot and very flavorful stuff! Google it.

I was wondering about this, only I want to bring my own honey for coffee and tea.

Yes, I know honey is provided, but I'm wanting to use honey from my bees, in my backyard. Think a one pound squeeze bottle would be okay? Or maybe several 2oz. 'Baby Bears'?

I am currently re-designing my portable microbrew kit so I can brew my own beer on board. Unfortunately, I will only be able to make small batches at a time, but if I tend it constantly, I should be able to keep my own supply of beer on hand for the duration of the voyage. I will post a complete review with pictures when I return in a few weeks.

Your signature indicates you've been sailing for many years, including on NCL.

And you mention you don't leave home without it.

Why is this suddenly a concern?

Is there something that has happened recently with this product?

??

You can bring honey, but any excess cannot be removed from the ship.

Check with CBP for more information.

Makes sense that it wouldn't be able to come off ship. Food product and all.

I will check with CBP. Thank you for the reply!

I just started using the Montreal Steak seasoning. That's why the issue has never come up in my past 30+ years of cruising, smart ass.
