Post - Cruise City Stay In Portland or Spokane

Anyone done the 3 day/2 night post cruise stay in Portland following the Clarkston to Vancouver cruise?

Wondering if this would include a less rushed tour to Mt. Saint Helens? Only additional visits listed are to a number of gardens. Just wondering if the additional cost is worth it in terms of what is actually visited/seen.

Of course we could take the trip in reverse and stay in Spokane. Anyone done this? Opinions welcomed.

We didn't do that last October when we sailed Clarkston to Vancouver; just headed home. If we were to stay, we'd be more inclined to "do-it-yourself".
