OBC for future cruise deposit?

Apologies if this has been asked before and is an obvious question. Can I use OBC onboard for a future cruise deposit?

If the any of the OBC is refundable, then technically you could - get cash from Reception for the refundable portion, pay your cruise deposit by credit card, then pay off the credit card once you get home with the cash. I don't know if there is an option to pay your deposit in cash.
