CruisinChris Posted August 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2017 Does Princess provide any type of narration or interpretation while cruising the Norwegian Fjords? Just curious, since it is a destination cruise. Thanks!
skynight Posted August 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2017 I don't remember any narration while the ship was underway. There were real port talks, not sales pitches for Princess tours. You can see the port talks in person or on TV in your cabin.

majortom10 Posted August 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2017 There was a narration when leaving Flam and down the fjord on our cruise on Crown in June.
Mom33 Posted August 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2017 There was a narration when leaving Flam and down the fjord on our cruise on Crown in June. Yes, and we ate dinner late because the ship left during the dinner hour and we were awed by the beauty before us. cflutist Posted August 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2017 There was no narration on the Pacific Princess in early July when we left Geirangerfjord. And since it was during dinner hour, we ordered off the MAR menu to dine in our aft Owner's Suite. Treated to some gorgeous scenery and a rainbow. RDC1 Posted August 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2017 On the Caribbean Princess during the TA last year I do not recall any narration when we were in any of the fjords. We were on deck during most of the passage from Flam until the end of the Fjord and did not hear any narration.

MainePrincess Posted August 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2017 When I cruised Norway in 2012 on the Grand, there was narration. They identified various waterfalls and talked about the fjords. We could hear it from our balcony, as well as on deck. Enjoy!
Rare ghstudio Posted August 19, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 19, 2017 On crown princess now in Norway....no narrative on the ship while cruising....but do you really need it? The views are spectacular everywhere without someone talking and ruining the serenity. Sent from my iPad using Forums
SimonaD Posted August 20, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 20, 2017 I second what ghstudio said - on the Crown this week, no narration. But captain doing a full donut in the fjord in front the the Seven Sisters waterfall was an unexpected and delightful surprise!
