QV - Britannia Club Embarkation Lunch

I've heard conflicting reports. Is this restaurant open on embarkation day for lunch?

When are you sailing ? Generally only the Grills restaurants are open for lunch on embarkation day but things may be different on the Mediterranean cruises as some passengers will already be on board so for some of the ship it's just another port day.

We embarked the QM2 in Québec last year year on a multi-segment cruise. The Britannia Club and Britannia were not open for lunch even though it was a port day for the majority of passengers.

On our July cruise, we were booked for the Club Dining that evening.

On embarking on the ship, we were directed to the Kings Court or the neighboring Carintha Lounge which was the alternative location many went to.

Our first dining and assigned table took place that evening in the Club Britannia.

On QM2 crossings, the Britannia Club is not open for lunch on embarkation day.

In that case, I would say probably not, your first meal there will be dinner.
