From this helpful link posted by EnricM on another Cruise Critic board, I noticed that the Silver Muse is scheduled for next week to be overnight in Barcelona. Below is the port/docking schedule planned for the next week in Barcelona with the various upcoming cruise ships. Any added info from those schedulednext week to be on this Silver Muse cruise going from Monte Carlo to Lisbon? Very sad and tragic situation.

Friday 18/08: AIDA PERLA, SIRENA, MSC MERAVIGLIA, AIDA STELLA

Saturday 19/08: DISNEY MAGIC, COSTA FASCINOSA, SOVEREIGN,

Sunday 20/08/2017: NORWEGIAN EPIC, FREEDOM OF THE SEAS

Monday 21/08: COSTA DIADEMA

Tuesday 22/08: RIVIERA

Wednesday 23/08: SILVER MUSE, MSC ORCHESTRA, JEWEL OF THE SEAS, MEIN SCHIFF 5

Thursday, 24/08: SILVER MUSE, CELEBRITY REFLECTION

In September, the Silver Wind is the only Silversea ship scheduled for Barcelona. That would be for Sept. 29/30.

From our Jan. 25-Feb. 20, 2015, Amazon River-Caribbean adventure that started in Barbados, here is the link for that live/blog. Many visuals from this amazing river and Caribbean Islands (Dutch ABC's, St. Barts, Dominica, Grenada, etc.):

Exactly right, Keith. We have to support the places that have been devastated, not avoid them.

Agree with Keith and wripro. Keep traveling, learning, exploring the world and sending a message to the evil folks. In checking for various news stories on what has happened with cruise ship schedules, there was not much available. I assume that means that cruise companies believe that the current situations in Barcelona is "stable" and reasonably safe. Let's all hope for the best!!

From this one travel industry source, TravelMarket, they had this headline late yesterday: Travel In Barcelona Recovers In Wake Of Las Ramblas Attack with these highlights: In a statement, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) said no member guest or crewmembers were impacted by the attack. Aside from ships that were in the area during the attack on Thursday, most cruise lines are sticking to their scheduled Barcelona calls over the next few days, though some are cancelling shore excursions.”.

Sounds like people are being cautious, but continuing with schedules as planned.
