Traveling To Los Angeles From Newark, NJ

I'll be doing my first NCL cruise out of LA in April. What is the best airport to fly into and any suggestions for hotels close to NCL terminal?

If you look on the West Coast Departures board, where LA is covered, you will see discussions on Long Beach being closest, but you may be able to get a non-stop. LAX will have non-stops.

Hotels and transport is also frequently discussed.

NCL cruises from the pier at San Pedro . I would get a hotel in San Pedro. You can fly to LAX and shuttle to San Pedro.

I would to Long Beach from your home airport.

Thanks, I usually use United but no flights to LGB, Jet Blue has flights but have to stop in Boston. We'll probably stay with a United and go to LAX. Thanks for the input.

How far are from airports in the NYC area . Jetblue has a non stop to LGB from Newark.

As to where to stay I recommend Long Beach over San Pedro.

Lots of choices for things to do, hotels and restaurants and about a 15 minute drive over to San Pedro to board the ship.

The DoubleTree and Crowne Plaza in San Pedro are both very nice hotels, other than that I'd look at Long Beach.
