Won over $40,000 on Azamara years ago....sometimes close to that on NCL......Video Poker - various games........but have also come home losing close to that amount! It all averages out with the deals that we get with CAS......as we would gamble anyway! Just one of my "vices!"

Just got off Carnival Dream yesterday. Early on hit $1890 playing a wonder 4 machine. Then last night of the cruise, hit a Grand jackpot for $10,000! Was on a Chinese themed machine, Dancing Drums.

There were a lot of big pays. I know of a $20,000 & a$17,000. Plus other smaller wins announced.

Fun trip!

Won $1000. and alot of smaller wins. I too spend alot of time in the casinos. I don't drink so I spend my well earn income I saved up to go on the cruise. I only spend what I can afford to lose. It is entertainment for us. Plus we have met several other couples we later kept in contact with.

I also won the slot tournament for a free cruise in Dec.on the Harmony. There I could win $50,000.00 in prizes. Problem with free is not really free. Taxes, insurance, tips, hotel, flights are not included. And it is only a 5 day cruise. I wasn't going to go but changed my mind. Oh, it is only an inside room as well. If we want a balcony add on another $1000.

And yes I too have had nights I didn't win a red cent.

In 20 years on Princesses ships

$400 once on slots I donate $100 every cruise when it’s gone I’m gone. The most I’ve seen won was video poker at the bar. Lady bumped me and pointed to her royal straight flush $3700 then complained because they kept 20% back for Uncle Sam lol.

on Celebrity - hit five bonus that paid $1800 and then got 25 or 40 spins and one a whopping $18 or so more.  most of the bonus spins gave me nothing.

On same trip had the same symbol on every spot and won $400

on Princess, have had $600+, $992, $1,000

would love to get the big one

The only winner is the house. No one says what they lost over the years.

So 2 cruises a year for 20 years @$100 a pop that is $10,400

Won $400 once and walked away -  do the math 🤩

I just want to be able to play for more than 30 seconds for my $100.

Dollar slots at $3 to $10 a pull..

I won $14800 grand jackpot on Oasis in August. They kept none of it for Uncle Sam but I did get paperwork for IRS.

I did not see what they gave her , perhaps it was paper work as well and she knew it was not all hers. I would never gamble again lol

Cheer up, got good news for you. It is $4,000, not $10,400. 🙂

In 2004 I had an unbelievable cruise on the NCL Sun.  I won every single day until the last day playing Blackjack mostly.  I lost $19,000 that last day.  I got greedy and wanted it all.  I was upset with my loss for the day but felt a lot better when I realized what a great trip I had with my extended family.  When I was winning I was buying drinks, bottles of wine and even took my group of 27 to a beach club in Cozumel for the day spending about $1500 there.  The casino desk even gave me $1200 to spend in the shops the last night.  The shops were actually nice back then.  All said and done when I returned home I had a zero bill from the ship.  The best part is that I had $42,100 more than when I left.  I have been comped every cruise that I have taken since then.  I have had some losses on cruises since then but have had more winning cruises.

My point here is that winning is a definate possibility.  Don't just assume that your $20, 50, 100, or 1000 is your entertainment money.  Stop when you win but more importantly stop faster when you start to lose and don't get greedy like I did.

I got off the NCL Poker finals cruise last month. I won $7200 playing cash games the first 2 days.  Then on the last day I won the main event.  We made a final table deal but I still got the big check for $100,900.00.  I have never had my picture taken so much.  Fun times!!!!

A couple years ago on the Carnival Miracle; 10 day Alaska out of San Francisco…

first night won a $11k grand jackpot on lightning link slot; as well as a couple other $1200-$2000 jackpots..proceeded to the Heads Up Hold ‘Em table and ran $500 up to $8k (hit a quad once but no straight flush or Royal)

Over the next 9 nights proceeded to lose that $20k, plus the original $6k we intended on losing.

Thanks!  Actually made it out without losing even a dime back over 12 drunken days steps away from the casino.  Shocking.

Did you use the online system to declare the cash in excess of $10K or fill out a form at customs?
