Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

When you mentioned that, I thought you had meant twelve months from the time you call in and not since your last cruise.

This policy doesn't seem to offer anything other than yet another restriction that makes it harder for Club Royale members to remain loyal to Royal Caribbean.

But wait! There's more! NOW if you have an offer based on play and you want to switch sailings, you LOSE that offer. It can NOT move to your new booking. You have to use any unused certificates (toward RCI rates) and if you don't have any, then they would see what "offer" they can give or just give casino rate (if 12 months or less from last sailing). Wow.

So I have a $825 casino "discount" off casino rates on a 12/31/17 sailing that I was interested in moving to a new booking. I would lose the $825 and would have to use whatever certificate I have off of RCI rates. Well all I have are $200 off certs. (Since I win a lot more $ than the certs I just quit early and take the cash winnings instead of playing for a certificate).

This is more bad news and I'm so glad I racked up the offers last year when I did!

i stopped playing in cruise ship casinos. I lost a considerable amount on a Princess and have not received 1 offer from Princess. Royal has the rule book and makes up the rules to their advantage. I went on a back to back royal trip and played heavily the first cruise but not the second cruise because of the friends I was with. I reserved a cruise the beginning of the second cruise and was informed my numbers weren't in yet. When they finally came in I was amazed $200 off. I inquired and they told me they consider my playing time as if it was one cruise. I argued as it was two different cabins, different people, different folios. It took two weeks and out of courtesy they gave me another $200 off. I do not gamble on cruise ships anymore only land based casinos. With the land based casinos I get free room, meals and 3 free cruises a year.

You know, you guys might have to actually pay for a cruise like the rest of us. 😉

Well fortunately for ME, I've been able to take a lot of money from the casino on 10 of the last 11 cruises, in amounts more than enough to cover any cruise costs. Now I hit it and quit it ! If I'm up over $1,000 whenever i end a session, I quit. Doesn't matter if it's after 10 minutes (which that's happened ). Since the benefits are so much worse now, it affects my time in the casino for sure. I no longer go for the certificates. Just hit it and quit it and go enjoy my cruise.

I don't blame you. I noticed you have to play a LOT more to get a smaller certificate. That's why I turned the tables and just take the money from the casino and run. Majesty of the Seas probably doesn't like me at this point. Every week or 2 I'm cashing out a lot of their purple chips lol.

Let's meet for JR's on the 25th and you can learn me the secrets of roulette. [emoji12]

No way !!! Seems that very soon CR program will not have any benefits for us :( I am so happy that at least I booked 4 cruises for 2018 in 2016 and then moved couple of them when end of 2018 became available. Basically its no sence to play as I always played :( in NOvember will be B2B on Harmony lets see what else ....

Your mean spirited response to "any" poster in this thread was totally uncalled for. I guess your Mama never taught you, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Posters on this thread do not post to try to get their post count up like you and Troy (Milwaukee Eight), they help one another, in case you did not know.

I doubt anyone is going to give up their secrets in winning, playing roulette.

I thought it was cute, sorry my efforts are wasted on you. Why the interest in my post count? Good Cruising

Edited - Linda, you invited me into your private thread when you brought up my dog. 6 posts here hardly adds to my post count.

Sure. If not onboard in time for JRs, later on

Thanks, caught your abbreviated list of tips on your sailaway scope today. I only watch the replays lately.

Next week will be our first Casino Rate cruise. Previously we have had to go through MLife match to get the freebies

Not sure this will work.... but this is the link to the cruise certificate I just received on the Harmony - 7 day sailing to Nassau, St. Kitts, St. Thomas. I did get the VIP sticker on my card. No new information on the program. My certificate was for a free interior room or $500 off a future cruise. This is the lowest certificate I have received over the last several years and my point totals have remained pretty consistent.

I should have take Nick's advice and walked out when I was up $1,000.00 which I was the first night...lol. I did end up about $600.00 for the trip so I can't complain too much!

Troy is the host. I am sorry but his last name escapes me. He was very nice and personable. My home computer is giving me fits right now and I can't seem to get the image to upload. I may be doing something incorrectly. I will try again when I get to may office.:(

Hi Mary. Good for at least winning something! I agree with your observation.- this weekend I played the most I've played on a 3 night cruise and I lost a large amount too. Probably the MOST I ever lost. All I got was a comp. inside stateroom. VERY disappointing. At this level i used to get at LEAST OV or balcony certificate. There is definitely a scale back of what they are giving us for our play! Not much else to do except I'm just going to gamble LESS
