Sea day fun

Why not? He doesn't like cruising anymore, I do. Why should he have to suffer for a vacation and why should I have to give it up? We don't have to be around each other all the time. Sometimes it's good to do your own thing.

When he goes on his whitewater rafting/camping trips with the guys from the station, I don't ask to tag along. While I have been whitewater rafting as well as camping (plenty of times) before and enjoy them both, I wouldn't want to combine the two. I would rather be floatin' lazily on the ocean instead of battling water and mosquitos.

Good points. What works for us obviously would not work for others.

Hope nobody was offended by my post.

DH gets bored on the ship even though there are tons of activities. He prefers to sit in the casino only if he's winning. He's not good at trivia and doesn't like to read or sit by the pool. Looking for fun ideas to help him get through the sea days. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

I don't much care for the pool or sunbathing. No spa interest. No casino or trivia interest. On our TA last fall and 14 day Caribbean this spring I got quite frustrated! I like to just sit and read and think deep thoughts, and there was never enough time, too many other things going on. I totally cannot relate to someone getting bored onboard. Maybe he could enroll in an Internet-based Great Literature class and spend his time studying?

My boyfriend is going on his first cruise with me in 2 weeks. He keeps saying that he's gonna get bored and wants the internet package. I refuse because 1) it's highway robbery and 2) I want his nose out of the laptop. I'm hoping he can find something. This will be my first 7 day and I get bored easily as well - but I'm being optimistic about it. Trying to "unplug" for vacation.

I did learn from this thread to bring card games and such so, thank you.

Do what works for you and your bf but internet cost has gotten very reasonable.
