Portage Glacier Cruise & Wildlife Conservation Tour

Sailing on Amsterdam in 3 weeks. Does this tour pick you up at the ship ? Is Intransit the local bus company ?

We are interested in the Portage Glacier Cruise & Wildlife Conservation Tour in Anchorage. What is meant by "INTRANSIT'?

I’m guessing that Intransit means you’ll be docked in Anchorage vs Seward or Whittier and are not ending or beginning your cruise, you’re “intransit” as you need to reboard the ship to continue your cruise.

So as I understand it: from the ship you'll take a shuttle up to probably the Egan Center. There you would catch your tour. The Portage Glacier cruise on the lake is one of my favorite little trips and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a great stop.

The Portage Glacier cruise is owned by Holland America and so you'll most likely be on one of their motorcoaches.
