Deck 5 Veranda - Encore - info please...

We've booked last minute for Encore sailing next week, and we've ended up with a Deck 5 Veranda Cabin. I notice from the information that it's part metal / part glass the balcony and the veranda is slightly larger. Does anyone have experience of these cabins, or any pictures to share? Last time on Encore we were Deck 8 Veranda.

Looking forward to sailing on this ship again. We had a great time last trip, and didn't experience anywhere near the myriad of problems being reported on here.

I've noticed there have been many views but no responses yet, so I will throw in my experience of deck 5, on the Odyssey class ships. I am assuming the Encore is the same? The balconies on Deck 5 are just fine, yes the view is partially obstructed by the lower metal area of the balcony, but it really wasn't an issue at all for us. In fact, the little ledge where the metal meets the glass made for a very handy and comfortable footrest when gazing out to sea! I generally book the all glass balconies, but wouldn't hesitate to book Deck 5 again depending on price/deal etc

Encore July 2017 deck5 Suite 533,

18 beautiful days, deeper verandah, metal did not impair our view, sitting on the sun lounges or sitting in bed as we entered each Port. We love deck 5 Club, laundry etc.

We spent 14 days on Sojourn in Suite 528 and totally loved it. I, too, was concerned about the railing before we sailed, but it was totally a non-issue. We loved Deck 5 with The Club just steps away as well as the laundry facilities. As a matter of fact, unless we were to book a suite class higher than Veranda, I think we would probably go with Deck 5 again.

By the way, we booked our cruise last minute too. It was fabulous. Enjoy!

We've done two cruises on Deck 5 and had no problem with the metal railing, but we don't know any different!

Next cruise is Deck 7, hope I like it as much! (we got upgraded from V1 to V4 so that's the only reason we're not back on Deck 5)
