Sea day fun

DH gets bored on the ship even though there are tons of activities. He prefers to sit in the casino only if he's winning. He's not good at trivia and doesn't like to read or sit by the pool. Looking for fun ideas to help him get through the sea days. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

We bring card games like Uno to pass some of the time when there's no activities that interest us.

Sit on the balcony and soak in the salt air. It is why I cruise. Cant get enough of that fresh air. No Balcony find a nice quiet spot that will work just as nice.

Make it a goal to eat every single item at the buffet and keep a list.

To expand on that bring an iPad or tablet loaded with a few seasons of a good TV show, and a pair of headphones

You can buy adult colouring books (including swears, nudity, drinking, etc.)

The card room is usually full of Hasbro games (battleship, yatzee, monopoly, sorry, etc.)

You can buy various Lego sets, model kits or other activity kits.

Suduko, word searches, crosswords, and other puzzles are available to print for free off of various websites.

Bob brought his laptop and would play his games. He's the same way and I get tired of hearing he's bored so I do us both a favor and leave him at home!

If he enjoys sports, there is almost always a game on in the sports bar. Have you/he considered sailing from San Juan? Only one sea day on those 7 night cruises.

We bring dominoes to play, that kills a lot of time between uninteresting activities.

We also check out the artwork on every floor which is something fun to do. Interesting how much art is on the ships. Some lines even have a podcast that describe the artwork which is nice.

Let him people watch with a cup of coffee or cocktail drinks on hand.

I find sea days completely boring unless I'm winning in the casino....and that never happens.

I like to find people that look "compatible" and chit chat. Just about everyone is open to conversations.

I love sea days! There's mini golf. Large chess set. Food. Pools. And people watching is so fun especially because I'm sober and most of them are not. It's one of the joys of an alcoholic

Do what I do is adopt a persona for the cruise and have a lot of fun talking to people frome all over the country. Last cruise I was a was a Trump supporter and had a lot of fiery conversations. He will never see anyone again so you are only grounded by your imagination.

Now, now, but for the grace of...........

There's usually a cooking demonstration in the steakhouse (where they serve free samples). It's hard to recommend activities without knowing him. We don't like to spend all day at the pool and don't go in the casino at all. On sea days we usually explore the ship, play mini golf, people watch, watch a movie, play cards, and just relax. Sometimes I do wish they had some more interesting activities on sea days.
