Hi Disney and also cruise lover here. Usually prefer smaller lines like Azamara and Oceania but have been thinking about a Disney Cruise when life gets back to normal. So it’s just my wife and me. Would you say a Disney Cruise is enjoyable for just adults? If so what ship is the best? I have read great things on different sites but when I read the reviews here read things like it’s impossible to get reservations in the fine restaurants, private island food wasn’t good, etc. I realize everyone has a different experience on every sailing but in general how is dining, and ship experience for adults only? I have heard entertainment is great!

We were suppose to be on our 5th Disney cruise this week. But the world had different ideas. 🤨

Does anyone have an update on the renovations for the Disney terminal. I did see the few you tube videos post a few months ago but I was wondering what the status was.

I know it was to be completed in OCT. But I am assuming that timeline was push back.

I was hoping to see some videos or pictures post of the renovated terminal.

Activity bookings in Concierge Questions

My husband and I have booked our first cruise on DCL. A little about us - we are early 30's and have taken 2 NCL cruises previously. This is a 4 night Bahamas Cruise, and we are lucky enough to be booking Concierge- another first for us. The idea is, since we don't plan on having children, we don't know that we can afford Disney's high prices repeatedly. Booking Concierge allows us to get the early booking slot for activities so we should be able to get a very full experience of Disney. Here's my questions.

We will get the early booking opportunity that most first time cruisers do not. What things can I book early through Concierge for a 4-night Bahamas Cruise?

We aren't interested in character meet and greets or the makeovers.

We know we want a cabana on the adult beach. Which ones provide the most privacy?

What different tastings do they offer?

I've heard snippets about specialty restaurant special events, like chocolate experience and different breakfast buffets?

I appreciate the help from any DCL experts out there! Even if you tried an experience and didn't like it, I'd love to hear about it and why you liked or didn't like it so I can decide for us.

Cruise Critic has been instrumental in planning my first two cruises. You are all amazing!

Greetings, Disney Cruisers ~ If an effort to give our members a place where we can discuss how things are where YOU are related to the Coronavirus, hosts are starting these threads so we can chat during the crisis. Let's talk about creative ways our families and neighbors are coping and helping one another out; share ideas for parents who are at home 24/7 with their school age children; you get the idea..... Our only request is that we AVOID turning this into a political or health debate thread. This is a stressful time for everyone. Let's practice some kindness and make Cruise Critic a place members want to visit in this difficult time.

FANTASY was released from dry dock this morning, and is underway to Southampton, UK, after which she will also be destined for Port Canaveral.

MAGIC remains docked in Dover, UK and DREAM remains docked in Brest, France at this time.

Due to the 125% FCC, we will have a very large OBC for our next cruise spread out between seven people. Unlike other cruise lines, excess FCC becomes OBC. We know we can use this for Disney vacations and other Disney purchases by calling our TA, but is is possible to buy gift cards onboard? That way we could spend what we need and cash out the rest in a convenient form. The OBC would pay for a couple of days in a Disney resort and tickets but we don't want to spend it before the cruise.

Hi, I am new to Disney Cruise Line. My wife and I were looking to book a Disney Cruise once things start to open up again.

I had a question about how many family activities there are at night that we can do all together as a family. I have looked over some recent Navigators and it seems like there are adult exclusive areas, and kid exclusive areas, but nothing that seems that we can do together besides the show, or character meet and greets.

Sorry I am pasting from another forum, but I was hoping my DCL fans might have some answers regarding Turner Classic Movie (TCM) Cruises. We are debating trying to book for the 2020 Fantasy offering. TIA!!

PS: See you on DCL Fantasy 11/2/2019!!

	Re: TCM 2020

We are so very tempted! We love old movies and this (or the movie festival in LA) has been on our bucket list forever.

We have been on 5 Disney cruises, and love DCL!

We are kinda wondering about a couple things, if anybody has done one of the TCM offerings before:

	- do they offer movie-themed activities/speakers/showing, even on port days?

	- is there phased dining for major talks or showings, like they do for live shows on DCL (early vs later rotation)

	- are Remy and Palo open for brunch or dinner?

	- are the Marvel/Disney themed areas (usually kids clubs) open for aging adults given this is arguably a grownup-themed cruise?

	- is the Senses spa open for the cruise?

Sorry to be so quizzy but this could really upset our currently booked DCL Fantasy cruise in Nov 2020 and we may need to use that deposit/marker for a later vacation!

Thank you so much if you have any insight!!

	Best,

According to this article, Disney has requested a berth for the Fantasy in Stockholm for 2022.

The port wants to check on board the Fantasy whether it could enter the Stockholm port because there are some size limits for big ships.

Though we have taken two older children on a cruise, this will be our first with a 9 year old non-verbal Down syndrome/Autistic child. Being small for her age and with her disabilities, last year she was placed in a Kindergarten class; though now home schooled. The one aspect is that she is not toilet trained, so she does wear pull-ups. We know she can't wear swim diapers in the pool. We will be on the Dream in September. Does anyone have experience in how we will be able to use the Kids Clubs for her? She has a great temperament and loves to watch movies, spin , and dance. The primary question will be the pull-ups... she may be too old for one group but the pull ups keep her out of the older group! Thank you for any insight!

I’m a DVC member and have a cruise booked for Aug 15th. In March when pandemic hit I called and asked about the cruise. I was informed to not worry and at that time no one knew when ships would sail. I was told that I could wait it out as there were many months till the booked cruise and there would be credits , very opened ended as no one really knew what was going on. Never was it mentioned that the original cancelation dates and fee would be enforced. The 120 day without fee to cancel would have been mid April. The agent never told me in March that I still needed to abide by that date. Although European and Canadian cruises are cancelled as of this week, the Caribbean route are slated to sail starting end of July. some ports are still not open. I’m not comfortable sailing at this time and have been asking to get a full refund. Disney is insisting that I will be charged 20%. I’m totally disappointed in their not relaxing the cancellation window, as many cruise lines have. If I don’t cancel by next week the fee jumps to 50%. It’s possible that Disney will cancel the cruise after I cancel and get charged. With this unusual unprecedented time Disney should be more considerate of their dedicated followers. No one could have predicted the tremendous impact of this vicious virus, resulting in unthinkable loss of life. Any thoughts or comments?
