I have taken two Carnival Cruise back in 2011 & 2012 while the kids were younger. Now we are ready again to start Cruising on our own (I guessing in late 2022/Early 2023) I see a lot of talk about RU and LU Codes. I never received any codes by email as far as I remember. How do I get these codes?? Are they sent by email or do you find them in the current offers on the VIFP offer page? IF on the VIFP offer page do I have to keep checking this page every week??

Checked the Carnival website and they are showing no cruises available for May 2021. I’m feel confident that my May 2021 Alaska cruise will be canceled, but it seems that I’d there is not a single May cruise available then they already know.

We were notified a while back that our original cruise out of San Diego on the Miracle was being changed to depart Long Beach one day later. (not an issue because now we don't have to get off one ship in Long Beach and try to get to San Diego the same day).

I was subsequently told by my travel agent that she had spoken to Carnival (she was interested in booking that herself) and they indicated to her that the ship was going to be changed out from Miracle to Radiance.

I'm online and see cruises for the Miracle, Radiance and Panorama out of Long Beach in Feb 2022 but none of them are going to Hawaii and there's shorter cruises that are there for the dates we were supposed to be cruising. We had booked the Journerys/Sailabration cruise but all three of the ships I just listed show the Sailabration but on shorter cruises.

Wonder if they're going to send another ship or if our trip is now going to be non-existant. We are on the Panorama the week before but if the Hawaii trip isn't going we really will have to decide if we want to invest in the airfare, etc to fly all the way to the west coast for 7 day cruise instead of 21 days of cruising..... The airfare and pre/post hotel stay can be very costly....

We are trying to choose between a Family Harbor cabin or a Family Harbor suite for our family of FOUR. Questions...

	1) Did you think the Family Harbor "perks" are worth it? Seemed worth trying for $300.

	2) The Family Harbor cabin is 185 sq ft for 3700 or the Family Harbor suite is 275 sq ft for 4800. I'm wondering if it is worth the extra $1,100 for 90 sq feet. We have 2 active boys (7 and 10) and thought the extra space would be nice. We usually get a regular balcony cabin.

	3) We can always consider the Ocean Suite or the Havana.

We have a 7 day booked in July out of Seattle on Freedom for 2021. I have been waiting for Canada to close the door on ships in Canada waters which they did- no mega cruise ships will be allowed in Canada waters until February 2022. There are a few people on the Alaska boards throwing out ideas about how the season can still be saved. I thought that was crazy. You can’t loophole and piece together an entire industry with all its moving parts. Even if you could somehow maneuver the allowance of a ship to still continue with an Alaska cruise, there’s no guarantee any of the port businesses will remain open. They have to string together a lot of effort and money just to open for the season. It’s hard enough when there’s no pandemic, but now you would have to also include Covid restrictions.

But, even with the announcement, Carnival isn’t giving up yet! I got this in my email yesterday. I think it’s inevitable they will cancel. But I think their willingness to admit they are still trying to save it is interesting.

a cousin today at the age of 41 due to an aneurysm. So here is an idea share a vacation you have done or plan to do this year in lieu of cruising. We will start, we sure missed the salt air so we are doing a VRBO on Amelia Island, FL and boy oh does it seem to fit the bill. Tremendous views and great food, a little more low key but when you miss the salt air just having a cup of coffee on a balcony sure will be nice. So share your ideas with us of fun ways to enjoy the beauty of your area, country, etc, maybe we can learn of new places to explore in the future or present.

We MUST have a balcony room on a cruise, it's just so relaxing watching the ocean go by while reading a book and sipping a drink. I'm looking at booking a cruise in 2022 (on the Miracle) and it looks like I'm a little late to the party since all the balcony rooms remaining are next to life boats.

Am I going to hate those rooms? Would I be better off saving a little bit and going with an ocean view?

I'm kind of thinking it's not going to be too big of a deal, we just won't be able to look down and watch the goings on when in port (especially having a good laugh watching the stragglers who almost miss the boat).

I just couldn't stand not having a cruise booked any longer. Even though it's 410 days out - the longest I've ever waited for any cruise - I needed something to look forward to. Got an extended balcony midship, deck 14. Looking forward to exploring this beautiful new ship. It will be the first vacation with just my hubby and I, since the kiddo somehow grew up and became a college graduate when I wasn't looking.

Can you get non alcoholic drinks on the first night of the cruise out of Galveston when you buy the cheers package? I know you can not have alcoholic drinks until the next day.

Apparently Norwegian will require ALL to be vaccinated. No exceptions. Presently there are no guidelines for vaccinations for children or for people who have had Covid. Do you think Carnival will follow?

I’ve never sailed carnival but I’m looking at july 2023 and wondering when itineraries might be released. They are showing until June 2023 now.

Hello to all My fellow Carnival Cruisers. By now many of us have a certain non-serious "illness" that is best described as CruiseAholicism". We are missing our favorite ships, ship ports and cities, our hotel stays if the night before, our favorite UBER drivers, our daily drink specials, daily food consumption, entertainment and our Carnival friends. I think that we should all call the Carnival Beards (as Mr. Heald calls them) and see if the CDC would allow a "Cruise Blues Vaccine" to be approved so that we all can survive this mandatory shut down?

On the serious note, how are you guys handling the stoppage? For me I refuse to get discouraged and will remain a Carnival Fan until the end. How are you remaining sane?

First and foremost, this is NOT for me, but for a client. This client has the dealer's choice rate as well as her wife. Since they both have it, she wants to book each separately and then once onboard, change cabins. Does anyone know if this works. I told her I had no idea and probably wouldn't chance it, but has anyone done that? Thanks in advance.
