	Booked a cruise for my twelve year old and me on A-rosa. Really looking forward to trip. Kids are free and only require one parent. Looking at getting off boat in Linz, after dinner, to catch a train Bratislava for a day before coming home. it is a Christmas market at end of December.

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;font-size:15.4px;">
	I'd assume I can get permission  to get off ship early, since in Europe and should not be any immigration.

	Am I correct flying into Munich makes most sense to get to Passau, where A-Rosa supplies transportation to ship.

	Looking forward to River Cruise. Note my son has been to over 40 countries and I've been to over 70. Slovakia is new to both of us. Prague would be a great after cruise place but we've both been there.

	A dream cruise would be a river cruise to the Christmas markets.  I'm a decoration fanatic!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have tried to pinpoint the exact locations but it is confusing.  Basically, I want to see the best of the best markets, on a ship something like the quality of Celebrity or Princess for example.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've heard date selection is important as well.  I read one review where someone was "sold" a Christmas market sailing and the markets weren't open yet!  How do we find out about scheduling?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Do you think the markets will be open in 2021?  Is it too early to book 2022?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance, I always appreciate these venues from CC!

	We are planning our first river cruise on Uniworld’s River Duchess. We are used to ocean cruises and know the best areas to choose staterooms.
</p>

<p>
	On a river cruise, is there an issue with engine noise? Motion?
</p>

<p>
	Thank you for any advice.

	I saw where Regensburg "limited" riverboat landings to 1500 per year, which would be more than four boats per day, if the season ran 365 days per year. This effort to limit the swarms of tourists (described as elderly Americans and Australians) seemed doomed to failure. Can you recommend a boat cruise on the Rhine and/or Danube that stops at more gently visited towns?

	My husband and I would like to do river cruises but he needs a scooter to get around especially for long walking distances.

<p>
	Are there any river cruises that would be suitable for us?

	So the word I am getting from American Steamboat is they're expecting to start sailing the American Duchess mid-March and our sailing in late April will not be canceled. They're saying the reasoning is they'll be sailing with less than 250 passengers and crew, which is the CDC cut off on the no sail order. The ship has 85 cabins, some of which are singles. One of the ship mapping sites says the ship is listed as carrying a maximum of 166 passengers. I'm just curious if anyone has any insight into how many crew a river cruise ship carrying 166 people would require?

	I am interested in the Meuse river which is rarely mentioned as a separate entity on tulip time cruises but a few companies sail. Avalon one year started cruises in Namur but gave that up.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	How do the sights along the river compare to the Rhine for example? Would it be an interesting change to see Namur, Liege and Maastricht instead of Koblenz and Cologne? I know this is subjective, but your thoughts are much appreciated.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Can you sail the Meuse further upstream from Namur on a large ship?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thank you.
