Just looked at fall 2021 and 2022 and I see that the New England, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Eastern Canada routes seem to be gone.

At first I thought perhaps it was a covid thing, but then I see Alaska routes out of Vancouver, so it can't be that. And I also see that there are several S.A. trips that start in St. John's Newfoundland, of all places.

We loved our trip in Eastern Canada several years ago, and I'm wondering why they're giving up on that route.

I was a bit surprised and frankly disappointed today to see Seabourn advertisements promoting its May and June sailings in Europe. In my opinion there is zero chance that these sailings will go ahead and I honestly don’t understand why they haven’t been cancelled yet unless Seabourn is desperate for cash that they then won’t refund promptly?
There is a world voyage, and a circumnavigation of South America in and out of Miami. Looks interesting, but no prices that I can see for the South America one. HAL has been doing this for itinerary for years, so it will be interesting how Seabourn's itinerary compares. Stay tuned

My DW and I will be taking our first Seabourn cruise on the Odyssey’s Panama Canal Passage on April 28, 2022. We have previously cruised primarily on HAL and most recently on Regent and Silversea. We have a few questions about what to expect aboard the Odyssey. We will be in a penthouse suite, if that makes a difference.

LAUNDRY- On HAL, we stay in a Neptune Suite and have unlimited complementary laundry and dry cleaning services. On Regent, there was no complementary laundry service, but there were self-service laundry rooms on each deck. What should we expect on the Odyssey? It looks like there are self-service laundry rooms but they may be very limited. Are there any Laundry/Dry Cleaning packages for purchase at reduced rates?

DINNING- We normally enjoy specialized dining venues rather than the main dining room. It appears the only specialty dining venue will be the TK Grill. We particularly enjoy Italian cuisine and I see no Italian venues. Will we be able to enjoy a variety of cuisines including Italian?

This will also be our first Panama Canal cruise. Are there any experiences we should not miss.

For some reason I seem to get a travel agent email from Seabourn. Had an email today referring to the way suites are graded from 2022. Looking at the deck plan on the 2 (V2) suites we have been in the midship V2s on deck 5 (Odyssey) will now be a V3 and the one on the 'hump' on deck 7 will be a V4 and the current V4s on 7 and 8 will be V2s and the V5s on deck 6 will be V3 - looks like midship on whichever deck are now going to be the premium V suites.

	Simplified Veranda Suite Categories
We are eliminating the two higher categories of our Veranda Suites (V5 and V6) and re-assigning those into just four categories (V1 - V4). This new structure will not only make it easier for your clients to select their ideal suite location – often a preference for mid-ship – but also for you when promoting the benefits and value of a higher category.

	New Owner's Suite Category
Seabourn Owner's Suites (Category OW) were more varied in configurations and locations than other Premium Suite categories. To better reflect these differences, we have subdivided the Owner's Suites into two different categories — O1 and O2.

	Hi,

I am looking at a couple of Panama Canal Seabourn cruises. I am not sure if Seabourn is a good fit for us. DH and I have gone on a number of cruise lines. Our only foray into luxury cruises has been "luxury light" on Azamara (loved it), Windstar (liked it) and Oceania (disliked it immensely). We also have been happy on HAL and Celebrity in a suite.

While the food was great on Oceania, we found the people to be off putting - always talking about their stock portfolios. We docked in the worst places, outside of town and usually with the commercial ships. In Ireland, our cab driver asked why we were not docked with all the other cruise ships and instead were parked next to the town dump. Seriously!

On Azamara we found the crew and fellow passengers were friendly, they always had a shuttle into town, and their food was good. Our only complaint was that their cabins were small causing us to upgrade to a larger room. We liked the small cruise ship atmosphere where you get to meet new people. We also liked the casual attitude towards dress. I know, a touchy subject. My husband will gladly put on a sports coat but will resist a suit and tie - which is why we are not looking at Crystal or Regent.

My DH is in his 70s and I am 60. We think we are too "old" (and fat) to go on Windstar again, but we are open to trying new experiences. Before you ask, Azamara doesn't have any destinations we are interested in.

Any advice you could provide would be appreciated.

My DW and I are considering booking the Odyssey for a 21 night Panama Canal cruise. This would be our first Seabourn cruise, however we are experienced cruisers. We are 3 star on HAL and have most recently cruised on Regency and Silversea. We would like information particularly about your experience on the Odyssey. How old is the ship and is she in good condition? How many restaurants are there and what type of food do they serve? We were very pleased with the food on Regency and hope the Odyssey will be as good. We would appreciate a venue for quiet music before and after dinner. Any information you can provide will be appreciated.

This post is for all the adventure seekers out there who like to get their hands on as much information as possible. In this case, all things Seabourn Quest in Antarctica. Contemplating going? Already booked? Then here’s an additional resource to get a feel for what makes Seabourn’s Ultimate Antarctica and Patagonia itinerary so special.

There’s tons of information about the Seabourn Quest and sister Odyssey Class ships on the Internet with regard to standardized service, amenities, dining, suite features, entertainment, and activities. The focus here is to highlight all the things that make this particular voyage unique. I’ve scanned all the daily Heralds and dining guides and made sure to photograph all the included extras that are specific to this itinerary.

Info includes my observations and Seabourn provided info on:

Visitor guidelines to Antarctica

How to manage expectations
