  2. MSC refund policy is inconsistent but I did get my money back -- eventually (3 months).
  3. You can always eat twice.... I'd try something different that you can't get in the YC, like the asian or tacos.
  4. I think as others have put it -- the video does not include what was said or how it was said by MSC employees, only the reaction of B&D, so at present, it is one sided. No one said they were lying but there is also no proof of how MSC was "rude" either, other than B&D comments, so who are we to believe. Always two sides to every story... Playing devil's advocate. Yes, it is a MSC PR nightmare but will it sink the ship (pardon the pun), I doubt it... Will it stop people on going on MSC -- sure but I still see them doing well regardless...and I am not a MSC fan, I just like cruising in general.

  6. So much speculation....we wil never know the truth until we hear it from msc and other passengers in the YC on that cruise. I am curious why they cut out the audio of the MSC staff .... privacy? Or would it have showed us something different ...again, we will never know. For those who would boycott MSC for this ... your choice... No different than another cc poster who booked msc, never going on it, read some bad reviews and cancelled his cruise losing the cost of his entire cruise....whatever floats your boat. Any ways, I hope more will boycott so that prices might come down....nope it won't....
  7. MSC did handle this poorly. As another poster said, since we were not onboard, doubtful we will know the whole truth (did someone complain, was it just MSC protecting its brand, etc...) As for MSC protecting its brand -- have they looked on cruise critic? Complains about their website, TAs, etc... I don't think they will care, this won't really effect them....I'm still booking.
  8. With a family of 4, I like that NCL Haven has a 2 bedroom option -- I wish YC had something similar. YC prices are better than Haven (but starting to catch up -- too many people liking it I guess -- supply/demand), so I pick YC. Food -- subjective -- my friends like the Haven food better than YC, even though the menu doesn't change. I like that I don't need to show them my ship card everytime I need to get a drink (haven't been in haven for a while, so not sure if that changed). Plus my kids drinks are also included. I love the lounge that overlooks the front of the ship and the pool deck bar/food area. Try it -- you might just like it -- we have, so that's my my last cruises have been on MSC YC.
  9. What version of iphone? And, are you sure you downloaded the right app? (probably you did but always good to check) And...app other than showing the cruise you will be on doesn't do much until you are set up with the ships wifi...
  10. I forgot those -- probably because I have not sailed on them. In those case, you get the other half of the spectrum, unruly, entitled adults...who can be equally annoying.
  11. Kids can happen on any cruise...(just cc search, you will find many complaints about kids running amok but that's another debate for another time) I'm assuming more on MSC because on some of their ships/itineraries kids are charge very low or just port charges.
  12. I have had it in our aft balcony -- so I don't book aft balconies any more. But mine might have been a one off... Was it like that the whole cruise? How long did it take for them to clean it up?
  13. On Dec 2024 we are in the 19022 and 19019 -- oh well -- I'll just drink more and drown out the noise for my wife with my snoring...
