  1. What's considered a 2 category upgrade when the room you are going to book is the Interior with Window (Obstructed View)? What I also don't understand is when I read the fine print it says: Room location upgrades are automatically assigned at the time of booking and are based on availability in like to like categories only (interior to interior, ocean view to ocean view, and balcony to balcony). Upgrade is not available on upper/lower, obstructed, and cove categories. Why would one pay extra money if the room cannot get upgraded? Thank you
  2. I haven't been on Celebrity but I felt that way about Princess. Entertainment and activities were boring whereas imo it was better on NCL. Food though much better on Princess (again imo). It's all a trade off.
  3. I can't speak for RC as I have yet to sail with them but for me the best thing about NCL is that they actually do stuff with solo travelers and often have a host which I prefer. I found the solo meets with NCL had people closer to my own age (30s) which was nice. I've been on Princess and their solo meets were unhosted and zzzzzzzzzzzz. I imagine RC doesn't have a host for their solo travelers, but not positive. Like someone mentioned too, NCL used to be a bargain compared to RC but now when looking at rates, I find that they are fairly competitive. From what I understand RC is geared more towards families (like Carnival), but what I have always liked about NCL is that it's a real mix with an effort to actually make things fun for people traveling alone.
  4. I'm a bit lost and read the terms and small print. I read "Limit one CruiseFirst certificate that may be used per reservation." which I understand however right above it I read: FREE $150 WITH CRUISEFIRSTBooking Window: 8th July, 2022 12:00 AM EST. – 29th July, 2022 11:59 PM EST.Offer Details:CruiseFirst $300 Offer - For USD and CAD pay $150 and receive a CruiseFirst certificate valued at $300 applied to your Norwegian Cruise Line Latitudes account. CruiseFirst $500 Offer - For USD and CAD pay $250 and receive a CruiseFirst certificate valued at $500 applied to your Norwegian Cruise Line Latitudes account. Are there 2 different Cruisefirst certificates available to buy? A $300 one (you pay $150) and a $500 one (you pay $250)? Or is it now only the $300 one with the $500 one being an error?
  5. I'm in my 30s, social but definitely not a party person (I won't go to the clubs and dance and crap). The experience I've had with Princess is a but more calmer and relaxing since the demographics are a bit different. With Princess though for a young person, I found the entertainment really boring. Carnival had more fun stuff but the vibe for me isn't the same. Honestly for me I would pick one based off itinerary and price.
  6. Yeah had offers to on the spendor that were dirt cheap. The one I wanted to do with had sitka though only had interior cabins with no windows at the cheap price. Any oceanview and up were regular price. I've done a 7 day cruise a couple of times with no window and I can't do it.I need some natural light even if there isn't much of a view.
  7. I took my usb operated mini blender on a recent Princess Cruise. Came in handy to make green juice.
  8. When I went on, it wasn't. One of the employees there said their ovens weren't working. Probably just a 1 time thing though.
  9. I didn't want to start a new thread but does sunrise have an adult's only pool? Not hot tub or lounge chairs, but a pool that is specifically for adults and not children? Also did Conquest bring back the adult's only pool? I read online that they got rid of it and now they have a serenity area but no adult pool or hot tubs.
  10. Yup. Took Express too. Good experience. No line and maybe a 10 minute wait. Easily could have made a 10:00 am flight with precheck.
  11. Was on this sailing too. Like Adoris said, most didn't wear masks from what I saw.I wore mine in the elevator or in crowded areas. Figured those were the hot spots.
  12. I was on AFT Dolphin recently and I was curious too. Like many said, it's the forward cabins. I only knew this because they won't display any names by the door like they do when rooms are occupied.
