  1. I agree. It's not wotth the worry. One person might like the set up over the others, but it makes little difference. Phil
  2. This says it all. I have been so impressed with Japan and the organisation this country is able to achieve. And the people are so incredibly polite. Before even coming here in early March and getting on Journey we'd booked to come back on a land trip next year. You have to be quick off the mark if you want to use BA flight points. I'm very glad we did. We can then immerse ourselves more fully here. We saw Fuji from the ship on our way back to Tokyo, and have just spent three days at Lake Kawaguchi. Spectacular and Fuji was stunning in the moonlight. Phil
  3. It's a slow old process (if you'll pardon the pun). At the moment I'm comfortable paying the extra for faster internet that at least enabled me to stream, knowing that not everyone chooses to do so and thus overload the system. Phil
  4. I know this is a little thing, but it makes me sad to read the lack of interest in investing in new balcony chairs. They were promised ages ago and still nothing. Why the heck don't they listen to their guests and sort it out? It's very poor. I'm not long back from finishing a cruise on Journey. I'm going to sit and gather my thoughts fully, but this Azamara trip was not the best. Too many signs of cutting back and they seem to be resting on their laurels, offering the same old. No signs of forward investment. This Onward balcony chairs situation is a very good example of my fears for the future. Phil
  5. 100%. I don't need reminding of crew welfare either. I will do as I feel necessary and be discreet about it. Phil
  6. I agree. I'll leave it to Azamara to sort things out for the best. Ship life can be pretty challenging at times, but Azamara have good protocols.in place. None of my business. I'll also say that posting such things here I feel is more about making the poster feel good than helping crew. If I was going to do it then I'd be more discreet. Phil
  7. On Journey now Hong Kong to Tokyo and have purchased the upgraded wifi package at $107.40 for 12 night cruise. I'm finding it much better than the standard I've used in the past. Streamed Netflix/Prime Video etc no problem and am glad I bought it. No frustrating buffering. Phil
  8. You'll dock in the same area as Silversea, ie right in town. Phil
  9. There were indeed guest cabins on deck 3. They have portholes, but as Benthayer says they are now crew cabins/guest entertainers accommodations etc. Phil
  10. On Journey at the moment. I have taken photos of the latest price list below. Phil
  11. All my pre cruise documentation said 2pm for a 4.30pm sail. I thought was late and when we got to the port it said from 12pm. Phil
  12. Never seen that either. Some people have no clue! Unfortunately they are everywhere. Phil
  13. No, I think she gets off mid way through the next cruise. She's handing over to Michelle Graham. Also a star so you've lucked out. Phil
  14. I think we just have to wait and see and let it bed in. I've been on cruises where the Specialty Restaurants have been busy. Conversely some have been very quiet. No reason. Money is an emotive subject so people will vote with their feet. Or maybe just get used to the new price (which is what they want). I'll make my feelings known. Phil
