I am reading posts that a lot of the fleet has begun decorating the ships for Christmas. Have you seen any sign of that on Symphony yet?

New Symphony nonsmoking casino is under construction. This is a photo from the current sailing. I do not have a date for opening but it has been closed all week so It could be open for the 12/2 sailing.

Thanks for the live review! I am on the 12/2 sailing and was wondering if they are converting Jazz on 4 to the non-smoking casino. I noticed on the app that Jazz on 4 is not listed and the jazz band is scheduled in Dazzles. I think Symphony is the only Oasis class ship that still had the jazz club. I watched the port webcam and sunset looked awesome!

Not yet. I sail Symphony in December and someone in my group just returned from a Med sailing. They confirmed Jazz on 4 is still there. I think it is the last Oasis class ship to still have Jazz on 4. I am not sure what plans are to convert. Maybe on the transatlantic back to Florida in a few weeks?

Watching sail away on You Tube and looks like some heavy rain this afternoon. Can't wait to sail on Oasis next week!

Looking forward to your review. I'm from Colorado too and will be on the 4/16 sailing! Have not been on Oasis since it first sailed but looks like the amplification is really nice. I also will binge the web for cruise research! Cheers!

I have experienced all of the changes with Royal since the shutdown. I have sailed on 10 ships since the start up and have always been pleased with my meals, service and overall quality of my cruises. If we were not seeing Royal make these adjustments, it would delay their ability to achieve profitability again after a $7B loss. Their flags of convivence meant no bailout money so they took on huge debt to stay afloat. And as stated, they struggle with staffing like almost every business has since the shutdown. I just retired after 30 years of management in the food business, and we all know it is a brave new world to make it these days. Add on huge inflation to food costs and fuel costs. All of that and Royal is still closer than their competition to a positive bottom line that will allow them to start adding some things back to our experiences. If their prices went up in ratio to the cost to fly these days many of us could not cruise any longer. And the airlines did get bailouts AND cut extras while increasing prices! I understand everyone's frustration to see these business adjustments. I hope Royal can continue to provide wonderful experiences as they navigate the current challenges!

Following your review. Will be onboard in April. If you have a chance to ask, would you please inquire when Oasis is scheduled to have the Jazz on 4 converted to a non-smoking casino? Work has started on Harmony and they plan completion in 2 weeks. I am hearing they will then convert Oasis, Allure and Symphony next but no news in what order. I did hear that plans were all Oasis class ships would be converted by end of April. Thanks for any news concerning this on Oasis! Have a great cruise!

I was reviewing Wonder and did not notice any Wheel of Fortune slot machines in any video I reviewed. Question for any past Wonder cruisers do they really have NO WOF slots in that huge casino?

My app for the 12/4 sailing shows Wipe Out Cafe opening at 11:30 daily so it seems they are converted to El Loco Fresh menu and will no longer serve breakfast.

I am not on Allure but can confirm from vlogs on the media sailing last week that change is real!
