We've never taken advantage of room service before. On our next cruise we have a couple of early mornings and thought having breakfast delivered might be nice. What do people usually tip for this service? I know it isn't required but seems like something we should do. Thanks

What canned drinks are available for the fridge in your room? We will be boarding the Jupiter on March 13th. Do they have tonic water and/or club soda? Thanks

The coldest that we got on this trip was the night we took a private trip to see the lights. We did this from Tromso. We stood outside for such a long time since the lights were so spectacular! I strongly suggest the hand and feet warmers for your boots. We never needed big snow boots and our hiking boots were really enough. Heavy socks, warm hat that covers your ears, and the best gloves you have. It was a wonderful trip. Tromso was our favorite place.

Does anyone know why Viking has canceled so many of the excursions for this cruise? We received an email today but no reason was given. We're wondering if we should cancel. Thanks

My husband and I were on the March 2-14 Northern Lights cruise on the Sky. We've followed the stories of the problems and rescue of the passengers and crew of the next cruise. Because we were doing this cruise, I began following several other roll calls to get ideas and share information with others, especially since this was the first year for this route. The way Viking has handled the aftermath is really impressive. I wanted to start this thread because what passengers are posting on the March 14 roll call makes me love Viking even more. The reimbursement of passengers has been total and really very prompt. My hope is that some of you who were on the ship will share the information of the follow-up by Viking with the larger cruise community. Glad that you are all home now and recovering from your amazing adventure.
