I've been looking for info on the Rome (Civitavecchia) port but haven't had much luck. Is the Haven line clearly marked? Anything we need to know? It's our first time sailing from this port.

What about tipping? Is it customary to tip in restaurants, drivers, etc?

We stayed under the pool/sun deck once and were woken really early by loungers being drug across the deck. I would rather not do it again but if that was my only option I would. Take some ear plugs just in case.

Yeah, we’ve cruised before so know the drill. I’ve read several stories about the security line at NOLA being a block or two long and not moving when getting there early. Normally you go through security, check in, then sit in a waiting area. Sounds like it may not be quite the same there. I’m thinking it may be better to eat lunch off ship than board.

What time did you get to the port for embarkation? I've been hearing that NOLA is a bit of a mess, especially if you get there early in the day.

That's unfortunate. I always wash shirts like that in cold water and dry on low heat. Or you could air dry if you think they won't hold up.
