Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. So much for the early booking window, this only works it you know before hand of the release date. I got all the dates and prices without logging on so the one day early booking window has finished.
  2. Thanks to Sarah's post I found 5 cruises on the Sapphire for South America from Nov to Jan 26 on the Princess web site. As the thread on the Princess board said they would be released on the 18th of April.
  3. On two cruises my bids have been accepted, one of those was accepted about three weeks before sailing and we never offered the chance to bid again. On the cruise I'm bidding on at the moment we were offered 6 rooms levels to bid on. I could bid on all six categories if I wanted to (but didn't) so I don't believe you will get another chance if you have a bid accepted.
  4. I received the same email from my planner as well with no schedule attached. When princess sent them out I used to get a list of the cruises but since coming from my PCP I no longer get them. Where I find them is on the Princess board, as there is a poster called Coral (I think ) who is a travel agent who will post them for popular destinations and sometimes when asked by other CC members.
  5. We have found on our relocation cruises on Princess from Sydney up to Asia the money was still in AUS dollars and we never have gratuities added on each day as they were included in our fare. But on the relocation to the US from Australia gratuities were added and the currency on board was US dollars. My guess is that there are a lot of Americans on the trans-Pacific who want US dollars to be used while Australians make up the majority on the relocations to and from Asia.
  6. I love the run of cruises you have chosen, especially adding the cruise from Ravenna. You'll have a great time. I was in Petra (Aqaba port) in November and the weather was fantastic. Not hot at all but I did get down to jeans and a t-shirt for the long drag back up the hill for lunch. India has updated it's visa requirements and now there is a 30 day one for tourists which allows entry twice for cruise ship passengers. Both the ports that the ship visits, Mumbai and Cochin are on the authorized seaports list for the new visa.
  7. I wear my medallion in the watch band holder so I just hang it on the cabin door handle overnight. When I go to leave the cabin in the morning I will see it or feel it when I open the door. It has worked so far.
  8. If he wins the Elvis competition in the US, no doubt we will then refer to him as the Australian. 😁
  9. Sounds great, I might just have to find those blue suede shoes.
  10. Thanks for letting us know about your experience, I have wondered about these theme cruises for a while and wouldn't mind doing an Elvis one with my mother-in-law as she should enjoy it. I did see an Elvis performance on the old Sun Princess years ago and it was very good but I haven't come across one since then.
  11. All 106 days worth! I'll be thinking of you while I pack away all my extras under the bed in my suitcase.😃
  12. Well done, enjoy all the extra room and that couch! Now you'll both be able to fit in the bathroom at the same time. 😁
  13. I've looked up the price for the Coral which is in New York this July as part of the world cruise and the daily price to upgrade is $65 AUD per day per guest. Princess premier is $95. Neither of these prices include the daily gratuity as Princess includes it in the cruise fare for Australians when the ship is using Australian dollars.
  14. We usually go to at least one speciality restaurant per cruise but at that price x 2 for a couple, I will be passing. I don't know if they will be adding the 18% surcharge (tip) to the price as well, which was introduced on the Princess cruises operating in US dollars last year.
