Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you, and a bottle of sparkling wine at arrival? Do you get to board or disembark any earlier?
  2. Can upgrade to a club balcony suite from a regular balcony stateroom for about $200. The trip is for a special occassion. Is it worth it to move up? Heard it's a much nicer bathroom, is that true? What are you favorite perks of a Club Balcony Suite? Thank you!
  3. Hi, I have friends with family of 5 looking at a repositioning cruise next April on the NCL Prima. Their children are 4, 6 & 8. I've been on many cruises but do not have direct experience with any kids clubs besides peeking in some. Does anyone have any personal knowledge of the NCL Prima clubs? Her specific questions are: Are they open everyday? What hours are they open? Is there a charge to attend the kids clubs at certain times? Thank you!
  4. Yes, the cataluyna plaza stop is right there. Also, a bus. We bought a two-day pass for the hop on/hop off bus and walked a lot: 15,000 to 20,000 steps a day. It's very central to everything
  5. Just fyi, we just stayed at H10 Cataluyna plaza for 4 nights post river cruise. Loved the location, used taxis and the hop on/hop off bus right across the street from the hotel. Loved the staff, the breakfast and the free Cava in the lobbies and free snacks in the afternoon was a nice touch. I don't recommend a standard double though, it is very, very tiny even for Europe with not even one draw.
  6. What hotel(s) do you like? What about the location of the Hilton Garden Inn? Thank you
  7. We have a dinner/evening in Bordeaux, one full day and then the morning before our River Cruise. Which hotel is in a better location for getting to the center, seeing main sights, easy walking, etc.?Thank you!
  8. We are booked for two nights in the Renaissance Bordeaux right now. Then, will be sailing on a River cruise. Is the Hilton Garden Inn a better location for walking to dining, etc? Thank you! Also, any easy to get to restaurants for dinner on the night of our arrival?
  9. Is booking a guided tour worth it, or just buy a ticket and use the audio tour? Thank you
  10. You always advise me to search and I do. But, I find on here and other forums, sometimes people have personal experience, that's what I keep trying to rephrase and get. I know there are varied tastes, they eat late in some parts of Europe... Believe me, I do so much homework I drive my husband crazy. Just love to hear, I took this awesome tour, ate these great TAPAS, took this walk in the morning... It's not the same as googling electronics or clothes. For travel I like to hear personal accounts, when possible.
  11. Have you ever heard of the No Diet Club food tours
  12. Has anyone heard of this group and/or done one of their food tours? They do these in a variety of cities. This one is a foodie walking tour in Bordeaux for 3.5 with several substantial tastings. Sounds interesting but not much detail. Thank you!
  13. We are OK with eating a late snack and/or coffee and a treat and eating when the locals eat. At home I don't eat quite that late, but we aren't early diners either.
  14. Do you think we should get a guided tour of the Sagrada Famiglia? Or, is just the audio on your own OK? Not much into art museums. Do like old buildings, love to eat where locals eat. Enjoy hop on/hop off buses. Really like walking tours. Would like a cooking class and/or food tour. Love to stop for a coffee in the afternoon. Thank you
  15. Thank you, I booked it. Would have preferred a superior room, but booked for our dates.
