  1. I think the OP might think they can get cell coverage if they can see little towns.
  2. Curious how many airlines require a check-in at 24 hours prior? Southwest? Otherwise waiting until checking your bag at the airport should cover getting a boarding pass.
  3. A semi live report from Zaandam sailing Saturday to Mexico, 14 days, to see the Eclipse, April 8th. Waiting at SFO for our flight to SAN. Raining here now, supposed to be raining in San Diego on Saturday. After that, expect warm weather. Most newsworthy info at this time is the crazy cabin situation. The cruise has been sold out since about November, with an astronomy group of just under 500 on board. We have a GTY booking. There have been at least two offers to "move over" to other cruises, but we have not received either. There have been upsell offers, didn't receive those either. There is a waitlist, and people are getting assignments off of it. But we have not received our cabin assignment. Have to admit it's frustrating. Not our first GTY booking (actually our 6th), but by far our latest. There are 3 ships in port Saturday. Zaandam, KDam and a Disney ship. It is going to be crazy. Then add rain, perhaps heavy. They have, after a false start, announced scheduled, assigned boarding times, with check in and boarding starting at 11am. Zaandam should be at sea today, enroute to San Diego. Will answer any questions I can.
  4. Depending on what packages you are talking about, some are cheaper if bought before you board.
  5. The dividends ended when Covid closed everything down. Seems reasonable to me.
  6. Have you asked on the River Cruise board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/115-river-cruising/
  7. There are several hotel discussions on the Alaska board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/33-alaska/
  8. Just slightly different categories, so they can charge differing rates. VA is considered the better cabin, by location.
  9. This...hard to give any good answers if the OP has not come back and clarified the situation. It seems obvious that a flight connection at AMS to BCN shouldn't be a problem, but if the OP is getting off a ship at Rotterdam, Amsterdam or the other possible ports, then catching a flight to BCN to board that afternoon, is a entirely different question. @kbconthemove, please come back and clarify the information, please.
  10. The overnight is Stockholm, and the sail in and out of Oslo and Stockholm are great aspects.
  11. Better to ask this on the Princess board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/119-princess-cruises/ If it is anything like the HAL app, you can't.
  12. You will find all the P&O info you need on the portion of Cruise Critic devoted to P&O, located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/22-po-cruises-uk/
  13. If the ship is docked on time, you will be fine. The NCL rep was blowing smoke...
  14. I think almost all of our private tours over the last 20 years have been paid in cash at time of tour. At least 90% of them.
  15. If you look around the board, you will see this asked numerous times. It doesn't matter.
