Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Last time I was in San Diego it took 3-1/2 hours to get on the ship in November of 2022. No ship is worth waiting that long to board. I agree with you that the port is Convient to walk around and it is a corgeous city but the port operations stink. I tried to board as a 4 star or club orange the sign was not there and they would not let me through. When my group was called they were not going to let me go through till I had to practically shove my boarding pass in their face.
  2. I have been on the Eurodam which is the sister ship of the Neauw Amsterdam. I purchase the thermal pass and use the showers that are adjacent to the gym. One time I was on in a signature Suite with my sister and dad. When my sister and I would go to the Thermal Suite my dad would use the Whirlpool in the cabin. I get why going to the gym to shower is an extra plus.
  3. Glad they have improved the response time. For my November Cruise it took til May and 3 emails. I don’t think they are dealing with as many now because I believe the program was only good til the middle of March.
  4. I was on the Zuiderdam in November on a14 day Panama Cruise. Escargot was served on 4 nights. The first one was the first gala night. I saw it twice on the menu while I was in isolation for Covid. One night I ordered it in isolation. Made me sick to my stomach and I am sure it was caused by the Covid because I lost my appetite ever after I tested negative and was out of isolation. prior to the pandemic escargot was usually served once sometimes twice.
  5. Sorry ai have not been I. Cruise critic. The ship went. To Dry Dock after my sailing.
  6. Finally after emailing a third time yesterday the FCC appeared this morning. It is good for sailing a year from today.
  7. Yes twice. I have been tied up with medical problems with my dad and have not had time to deal with it.
  8. Still have not received t for November Sailing that disembarked Dec 1, 2022.
  9. I was on the Zuiderdam last November. My 93 year old father and I got Covid. The gave it to my father. They would not give it to me because of a medication I take that I can not do without. The cost then was $950.00. I took Tylenol and musinex that I brought with me. The doctor told me that they would watch for pneumonia. Both of us had a mild cases and tested negative after five days.
  10. Zuiderdam is my least favorite ship. With that said the ship has the best crew I have sailed with. The ship had leaks on the first floor with buckets and garbage cans holding the leaks. allot of things went wrong when I sailed on her that were not the crews fault. The crew handled with grace.
  11. I didn’t have a problem with hotel reimbursement. I contacted Covid while on a Panama Canal Cruise the end of November Was in isolation for 7 days of the cruise. While on the cruise I received a letter stating that would receive a per diem rate for every day I was in isolation. They stated I would be credit the per diem rate to my Mariner account. We disembarked the ship on December 1st. In March I sent an email to Customer Service stating that they were responding to emails in the order they received. In the email they stated that Future Cruise Credits would be credited to Mariner account 8 to 12 weeks after disembarkation. They also stated “Don’t Reply to this email”. I am 16 weeks give or take from disembarktion. I have allot of other things to deal with and have not had the time to follow up. I really was not expecting any refund. I knew when I went that there was a risk that I could get Covid. Was Vacinated and triple boosted. For me it is just the principle of the thing that they promised the FCC and don’t want to communicated except through email. I am really sorry you are out so much money. Have you tried sending a letter to the office of the president.
  12. I booked a cruise in July for October and purchased the platinum insurance. I had to have a medical procedure during the October cruise and I sent an email with our mariner numbers sailing date ship and voyage number to the reservations department. They responded in 48 hours and stated my credit card would be credited the refund. It showed up in a week. It was all done by email.
  13. I am sure allot of cases go unreported. My dad got it last month on a cruise and two days later I got it. We both had mild cases because we had been double vaxed and triple boosted, when we got out of isolation, we were afraid to go anywhere because all the hacking and one lady was blowing her head full of snot in the lido at the dinner table. It could have been flu too. I am sure there were allot of cases not reported. If you go on a cruise you need to go that there is a possibility you could get Covid. Just as a possibility of some other bug out there. For me I have just decided I won’t cruise anymore.
  14. The only way you would be able to do this is buy your friend OBC. Based on your precious post it looks like that is not an option because you already have allot of OBC. Putting payment on one credit card is a mess, I just did it with my father because he never spends money on a cruise, just HSC fees. As Murthy’s laws he had some additional fees and credit. While on the cruise they separated the statement. At the end they combined them both because we just used my credit card. sure hope something works out for you.
