  1. If you read all of the comments and not just singled in on one word it is quite clear exactly what I meant and at no time did I ever insinuate that it's just one meal for 2 people as a Platinum benefit. As I stated it's quite obvious that it's a set. At no time was it ever in dispute that the platinum member is entitled to dining benefit and for the benefit he/she receives the paper in their cabin for one dinner for 2 + a bottle of wine and one dinner for two without a bottle of wine." My point was that both platinum members in the cabin earned that status and yet only one platinum member in the cabin gets that platinum benefit. They get it regardless of whether they are the only platinum member in the cabin or not. So essentially the 2nd platinum member is not getting a benefit that their status entitles them to receive if they are traveling in the same cabin as Platinum member #1 and that it's an odd rule. You are obviously looking for a fight and I'm not going to give you one. I'm done here.
  2. Yes, that is what I said... and I used the term "Voucher" because that is how it was referred to earlier in this thread when SpainAlien was kind enough to post the one they received in June and it's also the term that was used by the Norwegian rep I spoke to on the phone today. Obviously it's a set as the platinum member is entitled to one for a dinner for 2 + a bottle of wine and another for a dinner for two without a bottle of wine. My point was that both platinum members in the cabin earned that status and yet only one platinum member in the cabin gets the platinum benefit. They get it regardless of whether they are the only platinum member in the cabin or not. So essentially the 2nd platinum member is not getting a benefit that their status entitles them to receive. It's definitely an odd rule.
  3. I guess that's the part that confuses me - "platinum vouchers are for 2 people". Yet only one can be given per cabin. So if there's one platinum member in the cabin you get one voucher for 2 people and if there's two platinum members in the cabin you get the same one voucher for 2 people? If so, essentially the 2nd platinum member in the cabin is getting no additional benefit for being platinum...
  4. Thank you so much! This does make sense now and I appreciate your explanation. FAS at Food Republic it is 🙂 Although to be honest I still don't understand why they would make the Platinum voucher for 2 people if only one in cabin is Platinum. Actually just spoke to Norwegian who said that even though we are both Platinum we only get one of the vouchers per cabin so essentially we are getting no more of a benefit than if one of us was Platinum which doesn't really seem quite right.
  5. I'm confused on this.. so you have to use the platinum voucher for 2 people but the dining packages can be split and you can use them one at a time? Even if you're both in the same cabin? Seems like it would be the other way around since both people in the cabin might not be platinum...
  6. We were on Escape in April and they refused to fry the wings in O'Sheehan's. Sad because they just weren't the same and were quite chewy and we didn't like the texture
  7. What did you think of these cabins on the Joy? I have read many of your posts and respect your opinion. We are currently booked in 14800 and thinking of moving to this one for the angled balcony and wondering if there really is extra space.
  8. How was this cabin with the angled balcony? Did you find it to be comparable to the other H1 suites on deck 14 or better?
  9. We are currently on the Escape (4/16/2023) and both the Shrimp & Grits and the Fried Chicken are on the menu
