Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Is it possible to make the reservations using the app as soon as you board or when logged into ship’s wifi at check in?
  2. We drink a lot of water so I kick things off with making a purchase ahead of time. And I still get bottles from the bars to take back to the room.
  3. I'm tempted...couples aroma spa seaweed wrap massage or just save some cash and buy a bottle of seaweed shower gel on Amazon? 😁 There's a good price on embarkation day. I've done a spa treatment before sail away and it was a fun and relaxing way to kick things off. Or will I be too excited to be on Allure for the first time and want to explore things right away? Has anyone done this treatment?
  4. That's really good marketing. The Key name does not explain what it is and people often want VIP treatment. I would probably fall for it. 🙃
  5. They will have brands like Bacardi, Jack Daniel’s and beers like Bud, Bud Light, Shiner Bock, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra
  6. You will be able to get wine, beer and liquor. It's just a smaller selection of brands.
  7. We are heading out on the Allure next month. Has anyone booked the private photo session before? Any thoughts? The write up mentions that sessions are available in-studio, around the ship and Ports of Call.
  8. Interesting tactic by Texas Monthly to send a reporter who is a reluctant cruiser to review Allure of the Seas. The extent the journalist proves that a cruise is not their thing (with a constant listing of outdoorsy credentials) is funny. Also it’s interesting to see that publication has been removing comments/responses to the article. https://www.texasmonthly.com/travel/four-days-aboard-biggest-cruise-ship-sail-texas
  9. Has anyone done the couples aroma spa seaweed massage? I thought I heard good things but wanted to check in with this group before booking it on our Allure sailing.
  10. I have a sailing coming up leaving from Galveston and we have a spa appointments at 12PM. We were able to get a check in time at 10AM on the first day of online check in for our cruise (not a fancy status either). I booked on embarkation day because it was one of the few decent times for the treatment and the cost was almost 50 bucks cheaper per person. I have made the mistake of book a massage at the same time as sail away one time and ended up with a terrible case of sea sickness.
  11. Verify is set that it’s required to have a test result but that’s not required for my cruise. Do I have to get test results?
  12. We are thinking about booking spa treatments (that are at a good price) at 12PM and 1PM of embarkation day. However, I’m wondering if we can even board the ship that early. Our online check in starts next weekend and I don’t have a check in time yet. Is it possible to get on board early if you have an appointment?
  13. I really liked the door hanger breakfast ordering. I believe I read that you can now call the night before and place your order for the morning. Has anyone done that?
  14. Hi everyone -- I am planning out our evenings and which evening to book at the steakhouse ahead of time but I am also wanting to book the chef's dinner... however, I am not sure what night it is (and the day is not included in the planner). Based on experience, does anyone know?
