Tahina cruising

Great advice! I have never been to Alaska and have researched each port by watching YouTube videos for each port. Also googling weather info and info I see on the videos. Our first option was the last cruise of the season. Everything I’ve read and watched says May should have better weather. Even if just slightly.

Hi! We are going on Quantum of the seas leaving May 13 out of Seattle. On my birthday 😊. I prefer the ships that have at least the Promenade or Esplanade? For me Radiance is too small but that’s just my preference. Ovation would be bigger and have more things to do and more restaurants. I picked more on ship, departure port and date. Thank you for the replies! We will be on Royal Caribbean so I’m not concerned about dressing up for dinner. I’ve only ever taken Caribbean cruises so I wasn’t sure how cold it would be on the ship. I plan on bringing layers and waterproof items for our excursions.

My husband and I are doing an Alaskan cruise in May of next year. What should we expect as far as weather? Will it be cold on the ship? Should I plan on jeans and sweaters/sweatshirts or is it warmer? I’ve read it’s the driest month in Alaska. I’ve read to wear layers. Any input would be very helpful. I’m so excited!!
