  1. This trip is really interesting; different cultures and experiences. We are now sailing south on the Mekong, leaving Phnom Penh and Cambodia for Vietnam. I have posted several times since we started, the last being about Angkor Wat. You can fine the posts at Http://www.travelswithcappy.com.
  2. Thanks for your kind comment. We are leaving the Sofitel at Siem Reap today and traveling by bus to the Viking Saigon. I will try to do some work on the bus but that may not be possible. I will be updating soon. I look forward to your further comments.
  3. My wife and I are currently on a Viking River tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. It is very interesting and enlightening. I am posting/blogging (mostly photos) as we travel as frequently as I can. I have posted from Hanoi and we are currently in Siem Reap, Cambodia, visiting magnificent temples and learning about the culture. We leave Siem Reap tomorrow for the Viking Saigon. If you are interested in this part of the world you may want to check out my blog. It will be updated as often as I can (which sometimes means catching up after we return home). I will let you know when I post so you can go to the blog and see where we are and what’s happening. If interested you can find the blog at http://www.travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think.
  4. The Rhine and Danube are more problematic but, to my knowledge, any of the rivers can be difficult at times; the Rhône less so than the other two. Hope this helps.
  5. Thanks for the response. The water levels were great from Lyon to Avignon for our trip. If you are considering the itinerary I suggest you check weather and water conditions for the time you would like to travel. It’s a great trip.
  6. Happy New Year everyone. My wife and I recently sailed on Viking Hermod, starting with a stay in Paris, and then sailing from Lyon to Avignon. I thought you might enjoy taking a look at my blog where I posted photos and commentary. It was a wonderful trip through Provence. You can find my blog at http://www.travelswithcappy.com. I hope you enjoy our trip as much as we did. Feel free to leave a comment on the blog if you are so inclined and don’t hesitate to let me know what you think here at Cruise Critic.
  7. If you are interested, I just posted a brief blog entry about the Elements show on the Beyond, It is visually outstanding. This recent post has photos and videos of the performance. Have a look at http://travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think. More ship photos and a stop in Grand Cayman coming soon.
  8. I posted a number of photos of deck 4, from stern to bow and back. You can find my post at http://www.travelswithcappy.com. To wet you whistle, here is a photo of the Cosmopolitan Restaurant where my stroll began. Let me know what you think. More to come.
  9. Just posted Costa Maya and am now working on photos from the ship. Walking around deck 5 and will post it later today or tomorrow. For blog post and photos of Costa Maya click on the following link: http://www.travelswithcappy.com
  10. For you Happy Cruiser, here are a few shots of the bathroom. Hope these are what you were looking for. The shower has 3 spray heads, a hand held, a rain shower and jets built into the wall. They are all controlled, as to selection, by one control as is the faucet for the tub. In other words you turn to nob to select your spray head. We are very happy with the bathroom.
  11. Thanks to all of you for your replies. I will be posting photos of the ship soon. I will make it a point to include a photo of the bathroom in the sky suite. I am just now working my way around decks four and five and hope to post those sometime soon. If anyone has a specific question, I will try to answer it.
  12. My wife and I are sailing on the Beyond this week in the Western Caribbean. As we travel I will post to my blog about the trip and the ship. I hope to post every day or two, depending on our levels of activity. For the most part the photos are the story. If you are interested you can find the blog at http://www.travelswithcappy.com. My first post just went up and is about Nassau. Let me know what you think.
  13. Thanks Geo. It was a very nice trip; hope you get to enjoy it sometime soon.
  14. I have posted, on my blog, the second group of photos of the Discovery Princess from our trip. You can find them at http://www.travelswithcappy.com. These photos are of the interior. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.
  15. Thanks to those who responded. Much appreciated. Thanks Started, you are absolutely correct, the Observatory is in Griffith Park. I will make the correction. Glad you caught that. I hope to post some inside photos of the ship either tonight or tomorrow. Saturday at the latest.
