  1. I appreciate what you are saying but the transatlantic is a one-shot itinerary and Princes shas informed all booked passengers that it will be shortened by two days and depart our of Barcelona with a different itinerary rather than departing our of Southampton. This also does not address the duplicate booking.
  2. So, to be even further transparent about this exasperating mess. The Star transatlantic was booked months after its planned launch for a reason and the price point for a suite was decent for a new build. Now that the ship’s (potential) transatlantic will be its third sailing and a very different itinerary than what we booked save for the actual crossing of the Atlantic. Given the slow rollout of elements on the Sun, a transatlantic with the possibility that some venues may not be operational and it may sail with limited or no entertainment just doesn’t seem like a great vacation. I was excited for the promise of the new builds and opportunity for Princess to reclaim a little of its luster and fix its wonky tech on its site and app. I really don’t think leadership—yes, Padgett—cares about the brand. We booked a familiar ship and route in the transatlantic’s stead since we were after a UK departing transatlantic on the sphere class. Its was a frustrating experience. Friends couldn’t see the cruise online—they had to call. My account is not showing the booking but it is showing both the transatlantic and a duplicate transatlantic booking, which calls into question how booked these ships really are. My confirmation number also cannot be found by the app. Few businesses survive operating like this, folks.
  3. Plus is awful. We did it once and ordering wine was akin to wine roulette… and much of the experience wa awful. Thankfully, you get to choose wines and vintages with a limited list with Premiere but I would argue that other lines treat their customer with more respect. With the Star issues, we have been looking and may defect to a new cruise line. This is not the Princess that convinced me that cruising was a good idea.

Mr. Padgett, as a process shareholder and a Princess loyalist, I regret to inform you that your rein has only devalued the brand by consistently disappointing your loyal customers and new bookings in equal measures. Your inability to project plan in an effective way to not disappoint booked guests and turn Princess into a weird money grab that often doesn’t make sense embarrassing and I can no longer steer people to the brand. I’m not sure which bookings will hold or if your cancellations mark an opportunity to mark up booking fees. You made the launch of the Sun a nighmare that is having a sequel with the Star. What is next? Before you tank shares to pandemic levels, consider the fact that the Sun has not delivered on most of its promises, something that has never been seen before. if you are thinking of adjusting price points on premiere and plus again. Don’t. You don’t get pricing because your cruises are comped and you aren’t asking the right people questions. You may not care about your aging Eleites but your Gen X customers who are at or near Elite are not amused… and can book other cruises who deliver more for less.please step down and let a mindful person explore the brand in its totality and return the brand to its unique niche without sky coasters that overlook the Sanctuary and agility courses that are I’ll conceived. Princess is not a family brand. It is an escape from the day-to-day. The Sun delay combined with where the price points are for alternative bookings (versus the competition) really took a toll today and I’m finally fed up.
  5. The Grand had spin classes last time I was onboard. I’m not going to say they were frequent or convenient, but they had them.
  6. After being awakened by scraping sounds while loungers were dragged around at dawn by guests and crew, we prefer rooms above us.
  7. My first Princess cruise was a 16-day Hawaii cruise in an inside cabin. We popped on the bridge cam when we wanted to check the weather, time, etc. but had no complaints. If the weather is good, you will likely find a deck chair somewhere between naps and activities so a window or balcony isn’t that important. Enjoy your cruise!

  10. Most group fitness classes onboard are very watered down and, if they are following the brand they claim to, modifications are available to accommodate most. The classes should be floor-based as well, which doesn’t have the learning curve of the various equipment.
  11. Between this and the Sanctuary rants, you need a cruise stat! Hang in there. The hide-always are all in good fun. If you hate ducks or whatever wee item is stashed, just keep walking when you see them. The plastics give us pause but we don’t duck shame since the intent is positive and they are few and far between. The best thing about cruising is that your cruise experience is yours alone and the less you worry about what others are getting or doing, the more fun you will have. Everyone has their “thing” on a cruise and some just want to bring joy to those who like to spy and capture or re-stash tiny, hidden creatures.
  12. Airline pricing is dynamic. There is absolutely no way one can assume that pricing will remain the same on different flights booked some time apart and Princess doesn’t control the pricing. Your belief that they should comp the difference on different business class flights is unreasonable. I get how you feel but this is one of those travel risks that cannot be covered by insurance as they will not cover cost increases. The potential for cancellation and possible venue shake outs are why we don’t book new ships for the first six months they are scheduled to sail.
