  1. I have brought a few of the first ones on my Caribbean Princess cruise for their washers, it wasn't so much for the savings ($3 per box of detergent), but for saving my skin. Worked great! I also bring a few spot treatment wipes as well. I'm sloppy. PM
  2. Good to hear! Iā€™d prefer to arrive around 11, but I will have to see what the consensus is with our little group. PM
  3. Oofie, I agree, they could have delayed that notification a bit. My last cruise (Princess Ft. Lauderdale) was a mess too, so I am mostly prepared, the others, not so much. I will try to get an early check-in time and distract her with her tablet.šŸ™‚ Thank you! PM
  4. Hi Carnival Cruisers, I haven't seen any Venezia reviews lately. How is the embarkation process in NYC these days? What I'm particularly curious about are the long lines outside, I will have a nervous tween with me and need to prepare her a bit. We have priority, but if I understand it, we have to line up for security first and then the priority kicks in when we get into the terminal, correct? Thanks, PM
  5. Iā€™m recently gluten-free. Am I able to bring my own sealed snacks onboard? Thanks, PM
  6. Weā€™re on this cruise too. We come in Friday morning but chose EWR for the train and the price. PM
  7. Hi Everyone! It is getting real now, flights, hotels and final payment soon! PM
  8. Myself, DD, and DH are on this with you. First with Carnival! PM
  9. Hi! We were refunded port fees for Grand Cayman last week - check your account. PM
  10. Ship Caribbean Class Grand Deck Emerald Cabin # E733 Category S6 (Vista Suite) Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Stern Connects With Cabin # N/A Accessible N/A Quiet Except when docking Balcony Size Large but packed with furniture View Aft Privacy Issues None Wind None Soot Some White particles on chairs, far from stacks so I am not sure what it was Problems When docking it vibrates in the cabin Comments While it is directly above Club Fusion, I heard nothing from it. The actual sleeping area is more above the promenade. The lighting in the bathroom vanity area was poor. The shower temperature control was super touchy. This is the smallest of the Vista Suite cabins.
  11. The parade of the culinary team: Farewell Variety Show: Ascent sailing in at about 6 am: This is Tux, they have about 50 cats at the Flamingo Gardens: PM
  12. Debarkation day! šŸ˜¢ Last night I went to the farewell variety show. It was packed! I was in one of the side seats and could see well enough, but I would come early to that one, since it was only a single show. Iā€™m on a debark tour ā€œEverglades Airboat Ride and Flamingo Gardenā€, so will be escorted off. I hope that is better than embarkation. Happy cruising, PM
  13. Some shout outs: Gee and the staff at Vines were great. Sabatiniā€™s staff and food was excellent. if you are feeling hungry at say 3-4pm there were chips, guacamole and fresh salsa in the buffet. I found veggie sushi rolls today! Sea day lunch in the MDR: roasted cauliflower. I will try to think of more, PM
  14. Iā€™m in the same camp. Iā€™ve worked where we had drug dogs come through on a regular basis. I donā€™t partake, so it doesnā€™t affect me. And the fruit and veg dogs were in Cozumel sniffing bags. Also not a problem to me, I lived in CA when the Medfly was super destructive. In ORD they are the Beagle Brigade šŸ¶. I think the cuteness angle helps folks tolerate it better. PM
  15. I guess they often delay disembarkation due to having to allow the police on first to pick up someone. The odds are we wonā€™t be affected, it was just a teensy bit unnerving. We will have a good time I am sure! PM
