10,000+ Club (5/15)

  1. Many are parked in the hallways. At least for this scooter they can park it outside of the door of the Mini-Suite. The walked could/should be folded and brought inside the cabin but.....This was on our recent Discovery Princess cruise.
  2. Absolutely in a good way. Lots of good, live music, shows and parties in the Piazza area. Example....pre-dinner - music in the Piazza for 45 min, as soon as that stopped there was music in Crooners Bar (one floor up) and after that 45 min set more again in the Piazza. They also had Take 5...a good size Jazz Club plus Crown Bar and the Vista Lounge with live music in all those venues and, in addition, for Vista Lounge some pre-recorded Ballroom dance music every evening.
  3. We're just back from a 15 nt RT Hawaii cruise on Discovery Princess. We've cruised RCI and Celebrity since 1987 and can only say WOW! about the entertainment offerings on Discovery Princess.
  4. Currently on 15nt Hawaii with Premier and it's 2 nts Specialty with Premier.
  5. Wines on Plus Pkg are shown by Varietal. Premier are listed by name. Haven't seen Rombauer or Ferrari Carano by the glass but, in addition to those in the photo we've enjoyed Seghesio Zinfandel and Flowers Chardonnay with Premier pkg. W/Premier pkg Caymus is $8/glass + gratuity and was available in Crown Grill and Salty Dog pub. Another plus is with Premier your wine is served is a bigger, nicer glass.
  6. We found out about the Super Tuscan Dinner from the Sommelier but also saw roving crew selling it, the Caymus Winemaker Dinner and a couple of wine tastings. We're told the Super Tuscan Dinner is only offered occasionally and on sailings longer than 10 days whereas the Caymus Dinner is offered on 7 nt + sailings
  7. We're currently on the 15nt RT Hawaii cruise on Discovery. Last night we enjoyed the Super Tuscan Wine Pairing Dinner in Sabatinis. It was a wonderful experience and we felt a good value at $80pp.
  8. Bringing this post back to the top to ask if anyone has recently brought flowers on in San Pedro?
  9. We were just on the Feb 24 Discovery cruise out of San Pedro. Arrived at 10:15am. Did que up for a bit to enter the area for Security the once through Security we entered the main building. The Quonset hut building is where you pick up your luggage after the cruise. We had our Medallions and went right up to check-in. It was a short wait afterward as the ship had not been cleared and guests were in groups.....Elite Boarded 1st, then Suites, etc. Next time we'll wait and arrive around 11am.
  10. MDR staff are very good with any dietary restrictions. Speak to the Head Waiter the 1st night and he'll make sure your granddaughter gets the food she wants/needs.
  11. I had Steak/Lobster on night 6 in the MDR - it's on the menu as Land/Sea and was delicious.
  12. @drwbrt In case you don't have them here are the Gelato and Premium Dessert menus, Coffee menu and Wine List from Sabatini's.
  13. Sabatini's, on Discovery, has Italian Red Wines by the glass
  14. Thanks for your review and postings of menus. Here are day 3, 6 and 7 and the Kids Menu.
  15. Trying to plan Specialty Dining for our upcoming 15 RT San Pedro -Hawaii cruise. Hoping someone can share menus for this longer voyage as I can't see anything in the App.
