Just book solo. You are charged the same as 2 for the room but the port fees and taxes are just charged just for one. I do it all the time. -
agree - they were checking your arrival appt time 1:30 is when the rooms are ready

the DOUE started for me on Venezia the first day. It may have been after the casino opened though because I hadn't ordered anything before then. -
The issue was too many people who never gave them anything.

I go solo to the Steakhouse and the other restaurants alone every cruise. It isn't really awkward at all. -
When buying in port, they are turned into the carnival employee and returned at end of trip

I liked the spa and the TPool - I would take the Cove Spa Balcony -
when saying email - do you mean the form on the website? I just used it recently and got an email response in about 3 days
