Carlisle Bay has one big, gorgeous beach. Different sections of it may be called different names but it's one beach. Walk there from the dock and pick a spot for yourself. It's my fav place in the Caribbean.

Cab for 2 with bags from the airport to Embassy Suites was $18 plus tip. If you walk straight towards the beach from ES you'll run right into a road you can drive and get right next to the beach. On Isla Verde Blvd (it parallels the beach) or whatever they call it there are 10' wide walkways every block or so that lead to the beach from Avenida Isla Verde. Across from Pizza City, Taco Bell, and Burger King. Lots of bed rentals on a Saturday but they were packing them all up and didn't ask the cost. I'm guessing $10 or less for one lounger. With Carlisle Bay being a 10 for sand, Isla Verde would be a 7 or 8.

Is CLT---->SJU an International flight? Just wondering about any airport lounge access in Charlotte and Miami. I think there are a couple I could get into with a first class international flight boarding pass. So is mainland US flying to San Juan considered an international flight?

There are plenty of abandoned towels all over the ship at the end of the day. I might just grab one of them and trade it in for a fresh one on the first day and just keep swapping them out all week. That way my account is never on the hook for a towel and shouldn't be at risk of being charged for an unreturned towel. I'm sure that if there are any flaws in my plan they will be pointed out to me here 🙂

Being charged and paying are two different things.

I''ll bet most of the people that that know they have left their towels on the beach or at the pool call and complain about the towel charges and get them removed too.

Do they ever actually make anyone pay for the pool towels?

Did that $35 include a taxi back to the pier? We usually walk there from the ship but walking back can be a bit more of a challenge.
