Yes. From what I've seen on other sites, a lot of people also chose this cruise because of the stop in Skagway. The email telling me how great ISP is just added insult to injury. Do they really believe this is an equivalent port? I called RC to voice my complaint. I was very polite as I know the poor lady answering the phone has no control over this. I just wanted to know what RC was thinking when they made this decision. She said I probably would not get a response. I realize that if this is my biggest problem then I'm doing ok. But we have been looking so forward to our Skagway excursion and this is just hard to digest right now.

I totally agree. I did tons of research and chose this cruise for the ports, especially Skagway because of the natural beauty and fun excursions. Icy Strait is nowhere near comparable to Skagway. It's very small with very little to do. Yes, there is whale watching and fishing, but we are already doing those things in Juneau. I would have been fine with substituting Ketchikan as it has a lot to offer. Even Haines since we could take the ferry over to Skakway and do the things we were so looking forward to. My daughter is on this cruise in September and her Skagway port was substituted with Ketchikan. I wonder why we got the short end of the stick. If we didn't already have flights/hotels booked and vacation days approved I would cancel this cruise and choose something else.

Are there any plans to up RC's poolside dining game? We love RC, but I must say Carnival has you beat in this area. They have BlueIguana, Guy's Burgers, Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ, Big Chicken, Street Eats, Seaside Shack just to name a few. They have even more, but you get my point. The sheer number of options is superior to what is offered on RC. And the food is great too!

Can anyone recommend a good fishing excursion in Juneau? I'm trying to find one for my husband and son, but most are charters that are pretty expensive for two people ($1200!). The only place I have found so far is Juneau Sports Fishing, but they have not responded to my emails or voicemail. TIA!

Can anyone who has recently sailed on Liberty of the Seas tell me if the cabins have been renovated lately? I've looked online and only see that it was due for a renovation in 2021, but that it has been delayed due to Covid. Some of the pictures I have found show a green color scheme and others show an updated blue one. Thanks!
