  1. After listening to a Princess webinar last week it sounds like the decision to require COVID19 vaccinations will come from the ports of call not the cruise line. If Princess is traveling to a port of call that requires a COVID19 vaccine then they will require all passengers to be vaccinated prior to boarding the ship.
  2. Carnival Corporation official announcement. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/news-releases/news-release-details/princess-cruises-announces-pacific-princess-leave-fleet
  3. Email from Carnival Corporation. It’s official. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/news-releases/news-release-details/princess-cruises-announces-pacific-princess-leave-fleet
  4. Just spoke to a Princess representative who confirmed that our bucket list cruise to Tahiti on the Pacific Princess has been cancelled. She said the ship has not been sold but all cruises longer than 7 days out of a United States port have been cancelled through November. When you search for cruises on Pacific Princess in 2021 and 2022 nothing comes.
  5. I just checked the Princess website and the Pacific Princess is no longer in the fleet. Just waiting for an email that our 34 day bucket list cruise from Fort Lauderdale to French Polynesnia in November 2021 to be cancelled. 😥😥😥
  6. For anyone interested in the financial status of Carnival Corporation here is the latest Form 8-K. One item of note: “Carnival Corporation & plc Chief Financial Officer David Bernstein noted, "We ended the year with $9.5 billion in cash and have the liquidity in place to sustain ourselves throughout 2021, even in a zero-revenue environment.” https://www.carnivalcorp.com/node/63021/html
  7. It is the same in North Myrtle Beach, SC. If the vaccine becomes available the State of South Carolina is allowing snowbirds to get a vaccine. I assume it’s because they don’t want visitors getting COVID19. My wife and I are down here from New York until April 1st and our oceanfront condo building has only a few cars in the garage. We heard that only 1/8th of the units have been rented this winter so I am sure the Chamber of Commerce is thrilled the few visitors they have may be a getting a vaccine since it’s good PR for the area.
  8. COMPANY UPDATE: Due to the continued preparation to meet the U.S. CDC's Conditional Sailing Order requirements, along with uncertain travel restrictions, we are extending our pause in guest cruise vacations on ships sailings through May 14, 2021. https://twitter.com/princesscruises/status/1346882732169834501?s=21
  9. I could see the Pacific Princess completing the 2021 - 2022 sailings to French Polynesia & Australia and then being sold to P&O Australia which is now under the supervision of Jan Swartz.
  10. I was also on the 12/10 webinar and the VP of Sales acknowledged that the Pacific Princess was the “outlier” in terms of Medallion Class ships and he hoped to have information in the “near future” regarding its status. My wife and I are also booked on the 34 day cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Tahiti. We have prepaid some Princess excursions and have booked a post cruise hotel so we are keeping our fingers crossed the Pacific Princess remains in the fleet throughout 2021.
  11. I reached out to Princess via this link after three weeks and my items were shipped within a day. https://princesscruises.myshopify.com/pages/contact-us We miss cruising so much we ordered mugs and an ornament for Christmas. Orange and blue for Syracuse University.
  12. I have the exact same issue with excursions. They can’t be saved/added to my wish list or removed on any of my booked cruises.

  15. I anticipate cruise lines will require vaccines for passengers and crew once they resume cruising in 2021. CRUISES EXECS SAY VACCINES ARE GAME CHANGERS FOR THE INDUSTRY https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5791/?et_cid=3386043&et_rid=100504638&et_referrer=Boards
