Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks Lois, it is so nice after 50 years or so of never even going to the Superbowl!!
  2. We aren't cruising till next January, and I have already decided to wear white capris with my Mahomes jersey! That will be fun!
  3. My mom loved the two cruises she took and one time mentioned having her ashes scattered at sea. I have a beautiful urn. Which I have never looked into. Do they open? If I was to do this, do I carry the urn with me? Or is it better to use a zip lock baggie so as not to be so heavy? I know I sound like a dork, but I am legitimately asking this. Thanks! Lisa
  4. I love watching everything from my balcony. On our Alaskan cruise, we got up about 4:30 one morning as we were arriving in Juneau, went down to the buffet and got coffee and tea and sat on the balcony watching the sun come up and we got closer to land. The scenery was gorgeous and it is one of my favorite cruise memories. The other one was my first balcony cruise, the Glory with my mom who is now gone. We were on our balcony in St Thomas as we were leaving port and it was dark. There were all kinds of people taking flash pictures of our ship from inside a building, I assume was a restaurant. We felt like royalty, even though they could not see us!
  5. I have only ever watched the departure from the rear of the ship, I will have to try it from the front next time. Great idea!
  6. Thank you all. We are from the class of 1983 and next year most of us turn 60 so who ever from my class that wants to go is planning to go. That is what I mean by a class reunion type. I have a great TA but I like to do my own research too so that is why I was asking. No idea how many will go, we are finalizing the date tonight and then will get everyone the TA's info to start booking. Cannot wait!!
  7. I did that on my last cruise! I knew months in advance what I would ask for at least for dinner each evening!
  8. Hi, maybe I am blind but is there a forum on here for group cruising? I am getting together a class reunion type (our 60th birthday actually) cruise and plan on Jan. 4, 2025 on the Carnival Freedom at this time. But I don't see a place where I can see other people group cruise questions etc. Am I missing it? Thanks in advance!
  9. August 2019 - Holland America OOsterdam to Alaska!
  10. This may be a silly question, in the times when it is recommended that you stay inside, do they lock the balcony doors? Do they have the availability to even do that? I'm guessing there is no way to do it because you might lock someone out? Just wondering, no reason why. Just a wandering thought that popped up in my mind. Thanks guys!
  11. Thanks! I was hoping it wasn't just me forgetting how to search...
  12. I am beginning to work on a group cruise, our class of 83 will be all or mostly all turning 60 in 2025 and so we are planning a class cruise. We want the Bahamas or Eastern Caribbean. All I can find is Mexico and the Bahamas from Virginia. (We are in Kansas mostly) Is it just too soon? That is what I am assuming, or maybe they are just not wanting my money? Hee hee. Never done a group cruise before so a little nervous about it all. Thank you for your help in advance!
