Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I've only been on the older ships, so I don't know if this still an issue with the newer ones - sometimes doors slam when a balcony door is left open. You can tell who leaves their balcony door open by the whistling sound.
  2. Why not call the occupants shore to ship and talk to them directly? Keep in mind the ship's time.
  3. I made contact with them. It is a couple who had a world cruise on their bucket list, and it has finally come true. They were nervous about not testing positive before boarding. They stayed in FLL for a few days before sailing. I did not ask about their cruise history.
  4. https://aswimmer2.wixsite.com/worldcruise111day I hope they post often. The Island sails tomorrow from Ft Lauderdale.
  5. How exposed is the Saudi Carnival Corp investment to a CCL bankruptcy? Would they invest more, or would they think that would be "putting good money after bad"?
  6. It's been mentioned that some credit card companies are excluding, in certain conditions, travel related charges from their guarantees. The CC companies don't want to be "Crystaled" themselves again.
  7. Your review was very enjoyable to read. Thanks for taking the time to do such a comprehensive job!
  8. Sorry, but I couldn't remember Transatlantic round trip voyages, other than the World Cruises, being offered. Going round trip from the US east coast to Europe is of interest to me.
  9. I like the idea of longer roundtrip voyages from the US. Especially transocean voyages.
  10. Enjoy! Wish I was there sharing the fun.
  11. Some Storylines news with Brodosplit. DIV under a 'Form of pre-bankruptcy' ? https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/28083-storylines-and-brodosplit-officially-sign-to-build-new-residence-cruise-ship.html
  12. If passengers could bid on a specific cabin, wouldn't that increase the number of bidding participants, resulting in more profit for which you were hoping?
  13. More stock dilution? https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/27887-carnival-corporation-prices-stock-offering-at-9-95.html
  14. When I said bow and stern smoking, I was talking about the far forward (and far rearward) side smoking areas, not the very front (bow) or very rear (stern) of the ship. It's hard enough to open those front facing exterior doors because of the wind. They even close off those doors when it's real windy. I believe the drifting smoke from the forward side smoking areas affected a lot of balconies, causing the smoking area to be moved towards the rear of the ship where far fewer balconies would be affected.
  15. Maybe smoke drifting from the bow to a lot of balconies is why smoking areas were moved to the stern. May have had a lot of complaints.
