  1. Many years ago they used to sell the unlimited specialty dining package on Celebrity for $29pp/pd but you had to buy for the whole cruise. They were pretty limited. Of course specialty dining was cheaper then too. I was so excited to see the Fraisier dessert is back! It's my very favourite treat on Celebrity.
  2. I haven't been there in about ten years but Labadee is one of my favourite ports. I love sitting on the beach and reserving a cabana, and enjoying the nice lunch buffet.
  3. Hoping to hear from some people who have been on her recently!
  4. That's really a disappointment. I'm a sucker for photos when I travel with my son. The photo shoot is much less interesting to me if it's all at once. I liked being able to get pics on different nights in different outfits. Loved the unlimited package.
  5. I was just looking at my Cruise Planner and didn't see this either. Is it actually gone or perhaps available onboard?
  6. Is the room service charge even for ordering from the MDR menu at dinnertime? Or getting something sent back to your room if you can't finish it? $12 seems awfully steep for room service that used to be touted as an always free perk!
  7. We've had stuff stolen by the pool deck. Keep an eye on your valuables.
  8. I'm disappointed that I've never gotten an offer, and I do gamble. Not a lot, but I spend at least a little time at the blackjack tables every day or two.
  9. Wow; it's funny that I would say our experience 2 months ago was almost the opposite. We found the ship to be large and have plenty of activities and thought the buffet was no more than adequate at best with less selection than in the past. I guess it's all in your frame of reference if you are used to sailing the mega ships from other lines? And perhaps a comment about their buffets as well!
  10. This could cause cross contamination issues... please don't do this!
  11. 1) yes, on the lawn 2) probably not accurate yet 3) no Panini Grill at the Mast Grill. There is a panini station in the Oceanview Cafe with three premade sandwiches that change daily. 4) yes 5) there is both "regular" OJ and fresh squeezed 6) One card is $19.95, 2 are $29.95, 4 are $39.95 and 5 are 49.95. All must be used in the same game. 7) yes
  12. What I'd like to know is what happened from before when they insisted the cover charge WAS the tip. That no additional gratuity was necessary unless you chose because the staff was paid from the cover charge. So now are we being made to tip on the tip since some people won't have been sailing Celebrity long enough to have been told that? It feels a little tacky to me.
  13. Our maitre d' on Solstice handled everything, including the oceanview cafe and breakfast and lunch in the main dining room as well as dinner. I hope you never have to understand how much nicer life is when you can relax a bit and not constantly worry about allergies. This is one reason we cruise Celebrity- Oceania did a much poorer job handing allergy issues because of open seating. We will never sail open seating again.
  14. Actually, it really is a biggie with life threatening allergies, I'm sorry. It's stressful and takes mental energy which detracts from having a relaxing dinner.
  15. Are you sure that number is correct? I get answered by an automated system that says welcome to the conferencing center please enter a passcode? Ahh I googled, it's 866 not 877!
  16. GIven that my family has life threatening allergies... now I'm wondering if it's safe for us to sail E Class at all. Having the same waitstaff be familiar with allergies makes our life much less stressful and having to explain them to everyone each day would detract significantly from our enjoyment of the cruise.
  17. Is there any way to find out what your tier is? I would be curious what points I was awarded when playing during my B2B.
  18. Don't forget to check out the World Class bar- Nikola and Paul are amazing. We miss them already! (we were B2B Sept 16 and Sept 24).
  19. We played because my teen thought it was fun. I'm not happy that the prizes under $50 were all not just casino credit but SLOT credit. That was basically useless.
  20. There was none on Solstice between the Pacific Coastal and Mexico, Sept 16 and Sept 24.
  21. I'd love to but that is way out of our price range compared to a balcony and an inside single with no perks. There is no problem booking a teen as a single in an adjacent cabin or across the hall. Frankly, I'd like having some privacy as well so it's definitely not just for him!
  22. With the exception of very very rare kids sail free promotions, age isn't a factor in price. My 13 year old really wants his own cabin on our next cruise. So he's going to cost double, although at least we can book his cabin Simply Sail.
  23. No they didn't. We were due to leave the very next day (some of our travel party had already left) and they only offered the 125% credit. Nothing like a full refund plus free cruise. I had been expecting that for at least the sailings less than a week away!
