  1. @dexddd Ok, know I had to look and found this from NCL, " MEET THE HULL ARTIST Allison Hueman Our first-ever female hull artist, Allison Hueman, is world-renowned for her street art & global brand collaborations. As unique & innovative as Norwegian Aqua herself, Allison owns a distinctive art style drawing on the sublime. Her hull art for Norwegian Aqua, entitled "Where the Sky Meets the Sea," is curated by Goldman Global Arts and evokes modern mythology through colourful mashups of abstract and figurative representations of sea and sky, ruled by ancient goddesses. " The ship does looks better than the WWII destroyer paint scheme found on the Prima. Still looking for that unicorn
  2. @Rick&Jeannie Safe Travels home, thanks for the great review.
  3. Safe Travels Home enjoyed your review and humor, thanks for taking time out of your vacation.
  4. It might be a European thing, stayed in several cities throughout Europe and only had washcloths in one city, Rome
  5. @RMS Olympic For some reason these builds have had very little information from NCL. Based on the Prima build, Viva was started right after the Prima floated out, it took longer for the Aqua to start thus the delay. A senior member of NCL already hinted that they have the next name and start date but has not divulged any more information ( David Herrera ). Here is the original schedule. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2022/07/complete-list-all-the-new-norwegian-cruise-line-ships-through-2027/
  6. Thanks for taking us along for the " ride ". Quick tips about Reykjavik, a very long walk from the pier to the town, the Opera house has clean free bathrooms, time the bells correctly ( trust me they are loud ), and don't forget about the hotdogs.
  7. Updated deck plans, from a very good source the spot on deck #6 opposite the casino will be Syd's and the Improv will move across the hallway to where Syd's was on deck #7. The old Improv location is now shops. https://www.ncl.com/cruise/aqua/accommodations/deck-plans
  8. @Travelicious, Holiday Inn in Southampton will allow you to check in early since you are an awards member. In case there isn't anything open they will hold your luggage, also no washcloths at the hotel, so bring your disposable flannels.
  9. The first port back in US territorial waters, in your case St. Thomas. Aboard the Viva, there was a location for non-US citizens, an area for the crew, and a location for US citizens.
  10. Another hit on the search engine - Aqua in the background, taken from the Queen Anne which just left the shipyard for sea trials. Looks like Fincantieri had a family day on the final build day for the workers.
  11. On our last TA, customs/immigration was done aboard the ship in St Thomas, once we got to Miami we went through facial recognition terminals.
  12. After sailing on every multi-ship class last year, it has to be the Dawn or the Jewel class, just because we had better service, shorter lines, and the crew seemed to be happier. Sun class is just too old, although the Alaska cruise was fun, the ship creaks more than I do. Breakaway and Breakaway+ ships seemed to be always overbooked, with long lines and too many entitled PAX and pissed-off crew. Sadly the Prima class, wished for more but with the ship design geared for warmer climates, once you have cold / rainy weather, everything seems jammed up inside.
