  1. Last year on the Beyond we had aqua class and went to Blu the first two evenings. We found Blu was so noisy and the tables very close together, service was unimpressive as well as the food and we could not order from the MDR menu's either. The next 6 evenings we dined at the MDR tried each one and service and food was excellent. On the Equinox, we also had aqua class and found Blu to blow away Blu on the Beyond, we had perfect overall dining experience and were given the MDR menu's also to order off of. For some reason Blu in the Equinox was less noisy and the tables not as close as it was on the Beyond. You do not have to dine in Blu, you can go to any of the MDR.
  2. I like to know myself because I booked the Beyond late February with Blue Chip and the only room available was the most expensive suite or an oceanview guarantee. Just to get on this April 27th sailing, I chose the guarantee oceanview (first time in over 25 plus years of not having a balcony which we never use anyways). Our cabin was assigned last week, 8103 very forward. I also like to hear about this cabin and which oceanview rooms people prefer and like to comment on.
  3. Hello, For those booked on guarantee basis, we are on the Beyond April 27th and were just assigned our cabin 43 days out. We booked the last cabin late February, an oceanview guarantee. We were assigned a deluxe oceanview room all the way forward on deck 8 and are very pleased. On our last three cruises we had aqua class and had bigelow products, curious to what brand shampoo/conditioner/soap the oceanview rooms have? Has anybody had any of the cabins 8109, 8107, 9103, 8101, 8100, 8102, 8104, 8106 and can comment on your experience? We also booked late and unable to get dining reservations earlier than 9pm, so decided not to reserve. Just curious how long to expect to wait for a table in the MDR having no reservations? We like to eat around 7:30pm. Thank you.
  4. Hello, We were avid cruisers of royal Caribbean and strayed to Celebrity for the past few years which we love but want to experience a combination of both royal and celebrity each year. We have some questions if you don't mind answering, again, its been a few years since we last were on a Royal Caribbean cruise. 1- We are diamond, do we have access to the diamond club on the Freedom of the Seas, and if so what time at night does it close? 2- Celebrity offers us discounts on internet and the drink package, does Royal offer discounts for diamond members for the drink and wi fi packages? 3- The Freedom is due for dry dock next April is it showing wear and tear now? 4- What time does the viking crown lounge close at night? Is there music there late at night? 5- What time does breakfast end in the MDR? 6- What brand of shampoo/conditioner/soap do they use? 7- Celebrity has the sunset bar outside and is open late at night does the Freedom have a bar open at night and if so which bar? Thank you for the help!
  5. Ok, I will hold off, today it is buy one get second half price but regular rate is 105 per person per day which makes it $78.75 per person, I will keep watch, thank you.
  6. Hello, we just booked the Freedom 8 night in December. We always get the premium drink package, but since our cruise is way out, we have time to purchase. What is a good price for the premium drink package to lock into? Right now I have a buy one get one half price, but it appears the regular price went up to $105.00 per day. This deal will be $78.75 per person per day. What price do you feel I should purchase at? Thank you.
  7. I used a casino offer and booked a room for April 27 on the beyond, the ship only had one high end suite left (still available) or an oceanview guarantee, so I took the guarantee oceanview room, still waiting to hear assignment of our cabin.
  8. Actually this cabin was booked as a comp with blue chip. My other half got aqua class and concierge offers but we wanted this particular sailing so they created a new offer while on the phone for an oceanview comp.
  9. Thank you, was afraid we arrive and not get on the ship, thanks for the reassurance.
  10. That is what I was worried about, whether they oversell like flights, thank you!!
  11. Hello, we booked the Beyond April 27 cruise, the only choice of cabin available was the most expensive suite or an oceanview guarantee cabin. We chose the oceanview guarantee cabin and still do not have a cabin assignment. For those who have previously booked a guarantee cabin when was your cabin assigned to you, how far in advanced from the sailing? I wonder if anybody who booked guarantee cabin was not assigned a cabin and got bumped from the sailing? I had no choice, it was the only cabin assignment available to us and I been watching it each day with no availability besides the most expensive suite. I am getting worried and hate to take the time off from work to find out we can't get on this sailing.
  12. I got like an oceanview panoramic room. 1k is quite a bit of money, it can buy your drink package and internet.
  13. I have a cabin assignment, they also have move up like celebrity where you can bid on an upgrade, I was not aware of this. Thanks.
  14. Hello, honestly, I believe the only time we actually used the balcony was on one cruise and that was for less than 20 minutes. We booked the Celebrity Beyond three weeks ago, there was only one cabin available an outside guarantee so grabbed it as we want to do the 8 night ABC islands again. I still am waiting for a cabin assignment and understand it can be anywhere, but now are thinking, do I really need that balcony??? lol. I think I am going to find like you, not missing the balcony. I agree totally with you, I rather be on deck 6 close to everything and can use the stairs too. Have you ever gotten upgraded booking the guarantee rooms?
  15. Thank you. 5:45 is way too early and 8:30 too late. I always have dinner between 7-8 but my young grandsons will be on the cruise so figured 6:30 happy medium lol.
  16. Hello, its been awhile since we cruised Royal, we been cruising Celebrity and booked a second cruise for this year on Royal but have some questions: (Freedom 8 night cruise) 1- I have chosen Mytime Dining, I noticed on somebody's post that said maytime dining is 7-9:30pm. Does this mean we are unable to go to dinner at 6:30? 2- When does check in start, 45 days? 3- Do you like the specialty restaurants, any advice? 4- We have three big trips planned for this year and the reason why we booked this is that our kids asked us to join with our grandkids of course and how could we say no? We want to keep the cost down, for over 25 years I have had balcony cabins, and we chose a 4N room which is on deck 6 very forward, room 6504, has anybody stayed in this cabin or any of them close to it and how was your experience with this room? Thank you.
  17. Hello, We have a question, we have been causing Celebrity since 2018 and my hubby receives comp cruises. We are currently booked on the Beyond for April 27 but my kids and grandkids are booked on the Freedom of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) and want us to go in December 7, 2024. My question, if we book a cruise (not comp) and go in December on Royal Caribbean, will my hubby still receive comp cruises on Celebrity? Or does the cruise line since they own Royal/Celebrity only will give offers to the last cruise line he cruises on?
  18. It sounds like the noises may come from the doors, has anybody had any Oceanview cabin and had any creaking?
  19. Thank you, I will bring my own. This is what I needed to know, thanks.
  20. I meant the martini bar lol. Thank you for the answers. What happens if there are people at the sunset bar past 12 will they stay open a little later? Glad to hear we can order off any menu in the MDR, thank you.
  21. Hello just have a few questions regarding our upcoming trip April 27 on the beyond and we appreciate your help! 1- Does anybody know the name of the band? I assume they play in the champagne bar and what time do they play till? 2- What time does sunset bar close, we love sitting out there late at night. 3- Do they have any karaoke? 4- Does anybody know about what time the Club stays open till, we don't go to sleep early 4- When dining in the MDR are we allowed to ask for the special items that the other dining rooms offer? 5- Unfortunately we were only able to get the last cabin an Oceanview guarantee, does anybody know the brand of shampoo given in this category? Thank you.
  22. I just have to make a comment, if you think what "they" tell you is the truth you have another thing coming. This year so much truth will be exposed of all the lies that was told to us. I will wear the tinfoil hat at least I done the proper research and not sleeping. Do you know the word conspiracy came from the CIA, and if you think they are good your wrong they are one of the most corrupt organizations, ok, I leave it here since its a cruise message board but had to defend myself. I love the idea that Celebrity is making sure everybody's eating needs are met, great job Celebrity.
  23. To each their own, those who do not want to do the research let it be. I am a researcher, a huge researcher in many many fields, backed up by reputable sources of many kinds including declassification of government documents of all sources. Just like medications, you may say they all are great, but each have their own drawbacks, same with food. Actually most of our supplements, medications, food, water and air has been poisoned to cause cancer, this is another story lol. I just was stated a fact backed up by tons of research. Its not the place to disclose here, it take me days to tell.
