There were no car rental shuttles in May and Ubers and Taxis were in very short supply.

In Kahului only licenced taxis can enter the port so you can either take one of those to the airport or walk out of the port which takes 5-10 minutes and get an Uber or Lyft - they both cost roughly the same.

There were no shuttles in May but there were taxis waiting outside the port building and we were at the airport ten minutes later - it was very easy.
