confirm we were on board last summer cruising the north sea
the ship is indeed smaller so not so many fancy facilties but we never felt her crowded she was clean and staff was great ( i liked a lot the buffet on the bow)
walking from portofino to santa is possible ( is actually a nice walk ) but i would not suggest if you have to toccent to a train
i would say it will take at least 1 hour if not90minuts
in portofino the nr of taxi is very limited and i would suggest to book in advance
indeed the first boat to santa margherita is at 1200
as alternative you can consider also the local bus ( n° 782) there is a bus every 15 minutes
thanks for your blog really interesting and helpfull
we are boarding in copenhagen next week
may i ask how formal are the formal evening, shall i bring the tuxedo?
confirm 2nd june is national holiday and expect in the center of naples most of the shops will be closed while in the tourist places such as capri, sorrento, likely to be open
in Genoa close to the old port/cruise terminal and close to the aquarium i would suggest "eataly" another place could be "Rosmarino" the addres is salita del fondaco ( one the narrow street of the old town) almost on the corner with the main square of genoa ( Piazza de Ferrari) a more upscale restaurant is "zeffirino" in the main street of genoa (Via XX settermbre)
