  1. Thank you, Maryann. No, that was not taken from my balcony. It was taken outside in the back of the Windjammer on Deck 14.
  2. It was from the MDR lunch. That lunch took like 2 hours. We had a Crew Connection Show to go to that was at 2:30 and we hadn’t even served dessert yet. We were sitting there waiting for so long so we just asked for it to-go. And that was the only time I saw Apple Blossom on the menu. Other times it was apple crumble which is not the same We went there for lunch just for the apple blossom. Should’ve just ordered that, I guess.
  3. There’s still a little snow on top of the mountain. Waterfront Station is beautiful I know you like the Apple Blossom. This one is for you, my friend.
  4. Well, it’s over. All good things must come to an end. We said our goodbyes with our CC friends that we enjoyed meeting so much. We now have great memories of them until we meet again. This morning’s sunrise in Vancouver Cruising under Lion’s Gate Bridge How fun it was to run into Pat @taznremmy,. We are now sitting at our gate ready to board for flight home.
  5. After we left Kona, Day 4, it got really windy out on deck. It was really risky trying to take a sunset picture. I’d run out on deck trying hard not to get blown off the ship and snap a picture as fast and as best I could and run back in. Couldn’t hold the camera still. The temperature got really cold after that, along with really strong wind. Keeping my feet warm Waiting for sunset. It was windy and cold. Here it is. The sun setting. Day 5 Sunrise. I was a little late getting out there.
  6. We didn’t get this invite until this afternoon also. But I believe Denny @CruiszBug went to this officers’ cocktail party. I wonder if it was tonight since it was dress-your-best night. Pat, that is correct info with refundable deposit and amount for OBC. That was how we booked Bella 2. No, we did not come across any Tiki bars on our walk to the beach. There could have been some near the port but we just didn’t notice any.
  7. DH and couple other guys went to play golf yesterday at the Royal Ka’anapali golf course. So sorry @CruiszBug’s DH couldn’t make it.
  8. We had this toilet at our hotel in Waikiki also. The seat is always warm. I saw this same Toto toilet at Costco in Oahu for If I remember right, $399.
  9. @A&L_OntCongratulations to Owen on passing the written driving test. That is one sweet 16 birthday present. Happy Birthday, Owen! @dani negreanuSo glad you had a wonderful time on your trip except for the last part in getting home. Thanks for all the beautiful pictures. @grapau27, @sgmn We are eleven hours behind U.K. We’ll be watching the coronation of your king at around 10:00PM on the ship. Really looking forward to it.
  10. Yes, those are fresh pineapples you can buy. Maui Gold Pineapples- the last pineapple plantation on Maui. These ones are 2nd generation of a pineapple plant, that is why they are smaller. $6 each or 2 for $10. Supposed to be real sweet.
  11. Day 3 Sunrise. This is our 2nd day in Lahaina, Maui. I decided to walk until I reach the beach Along the way, there was a Lahaina Christmas Store. This one is for you, Greg, @Sea Dog. All kinds of Hawaiian themed Christmas ornaments Pineapple ornaments. All hanging upright
  12. There’s recently been an extension to the existing pier that’s just now been updated to Google Maps. The new extension The Lahaina Lighthouse Going back to the ship
  13. All aboard! Boarding from this port was the easiest. Right across the street from the bus stop and the ship was right there. The internet didn’t work on my phone this whole time afternoon. Switched to my iPad and it’s working great now. So, going back a few hours… Once on board Found Ken at the Flow Rider. Here’s Toby in action Cloudy all day. Nice and cool We are about to sail away.
  14. My last sunrise and sunset pictures for you all (y’all) from Honolulu. Today, Tuesday 5/2, we will board Ovation with a 2-day stop in Lahaina, Maui and one day of Kona and then 5 days at sea to Vancouver. It’s been fun these last 2 weeks. We’ll see you onboard! Yesterday’s Sunrise This morning’s sunrise. It is drizzling a bit right now. Sunset with the U.S. Army Museum in the foreground. This was taken a week ago. Full Disclosure: No Uber, Lyft or Taxi were used during the 2 weeks stay in Honolulu. The only mode of transportation was TheBus (or walking). Hawaii has one of the best public transportations around. But of course, thanks be to DH- who has a good sense of direction, who can get us from point A to point B using their app- gets us on the right bus.
