  1. Lady Liberty is on the starboard side when sailing out of New York. We went all the way up to the top of the ship, in front, and could see both sides well. The gate to that deck was originally closed when we checked around 2pm but was open during sailaway. It's my favorite sailaway view.
  2. I don't believe it does but best to check the deck plans to see.
  3. Not at all. I do last minute bookings all the time and use my CruiseNext certificates. Haven't used a CruiseFirst yet but just bought one last month so we will see.
  4. Usually keep some yogurt, small cartons of milk (both of which I get from the buffet at breakfast), sometimes cheese...anything I might want to snack on in the evening. Also keep a bottle of water that I refill myself in the buffet. If I sleep in on a sea day and miss breakfast I like to have a little something before lunch or if I have an early morning excursion and don't want room service or to fight the crowd in the buffet, it comes in handy. I also usually have a cookie or two and some fruit in my cabin.
  5. The mini fridges haven't been stocked for a long time. Now there are 3 bottles of water that can be purchased...I put them on the floor under the desk while on the cruise and use the fridge for food.
  6. By any chance did you have a tip in your hand when you asked? I find a couple of bills can get you just about anything...
  7. Fingers crossed that I will be on the Prima...
  8. You are just too sophisticated for me...I use Cool Whip.
  9. I have only done an NCL transer once but it went very smooth. As mentioned above, you will get luggage tags indicating what time to get off, you follow the instructions for disembarkation and there will be a bus waiting. You didn't mention what time your flight was but you will probably be to the airport around 10-11am depending on traffic.
  10. I have 2 friends (that's right...I have 2 friends besides @graphicguyand @Sugar Magnolia) who have done the Hawaii cruise from LA, one on Carnival and one on Princess (he's actually done it twice). They both really enjoyed it. And I agree...Hawaii is NOT the Caribbean. But I still think I would vote for Croatia.
  11. I have been to Carlo's on 8th Ave and in NJ...it was ok but I wouldn't stand in line for it (again). I am also happy to hear that about Fleetwood Mac's Rumours in the theater. Save me a seat! And I was counting on getting paid to stand in line for you...I need that money for the casino!!
  12. I thought the Donna Summer show was ok. A little too long and dragged in a few places but the singing was great. I haven't been on a ship with BTF in years so am looking forward to seeing it. To each their own.
  13. Hey...watch what you are saying. Us Little Debbie's are sensitive!🤪
  14. There are multiple videos on YouTube of Club Balcony Suites on NCL. Do a search with the ship you are looking at and go from there.
  15. The best entree choices are going to be the ones you like. Not everyone has the same tastes so people on an internet forum cannot tell you what is best. My travel companion always gets the filet in Ocean Blue because that is the best entree for him, while I prefer the salmon. We both get different apps and desserts. I don't care for Cioppino so cannot tell you if it is worth considering or not. Enjoy your cruise.
  16. Nice review and photos...glad you had a great time! Encore to Alaska is a fabulous cruise.
  17. Don't get too comfortable yet...I could show up one of these days. My son and I (and the dog) just got back from a 10 day road trip to visit family in other states and we had a really good time (other than the speeding ticket). He started saying what I was thinking, we batted around some ideas and came up with a plan. Timing wise, things just sort of fell into place. It's going to take a lot of planning and some sacrifice (cruising) but I think it will all be better in the end. And I wanted to let you know I saw my client this week who just had the hip replacement surgery. He was walking normally, driving, doing most of his day to day activities in 3 weeks time! Of course everyone is different but medicine has come a long way in a few short years...I think there could very well be a Prima TA in your future (as well as the Encore). I am not giving up hope!
  18. Ain't that the truth! And that's one of the reasons for some of my changes. It is just getting too hot to tolerate and is only going to get worse. It's been relentless the past few years and I am done (to a crisp!).
  19. I may have to take a break from cruising in 2025. Lots of life changes possibly happening, including a major move, retirement and/or career change...lots of balls up in the air. I don't know if I can do a full year without being on a ship (that only happend during the pandemic) but I will have to cut down significantly. Good news is I like both of the 2026 cruises on @cruiseny4lifespreadsheet so am hoping one of those works out for me (and everyone). But as @Sugar Magnoliasays...you never know.
  20. The drama will begin once you and I board 🙂
  21. @JIMESOPUSsounds like someone is ready to join you...
  22. Did you pay for this cruise with a debit card (which for some reason in Texas they call a 'check card')? Have you verified that you received the refund? Ask for a supervisor in Guest Services or the GM. Something is off somewhere.
