Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Sent three passports for renewal February 1st and two came back March 4th. Non expedited. The third said delivered, but I never got it so it went to the wrong place apparently. Had to go through waiting period with post office to try to locate it and then passport office to declare it missing. Now I’ve submitted more paperwork to apply for a reprint of the lost one. We’ll see how long it takes. Thankfully travel isn’t until June.
  2. We just called Hilton directly and asked about prices for day room and day passes and then picked.
  3. When we took the sushi class on Voyager this fall we said one doesn’t eat seafood and they said no problem and gave us more veggies instead. They have it all laid out in front of you on the table and you can basically put what you want in it.
  4. Repriced my cruise today and had the same notice pop up. We’ve been on 4 RCCL cruises and have never been in the casinos so not sure.
  5. Thank you! Our Harmony in 2024 dropped $645 thanks to the sale!!!
  6. I checked in on Friday. The app wouldn’t work. I had to use the website. I couldn’t just pick arrival time, I had to actually go through all the steps to get to it. Got errored out once and had to restart the process. Finally all checked in after 20 minutes and was able to get the 10:30 slot, but what a pain. When I was done it told me to refer to the app which worked the next morning.
  7. We also booked a room for the day at Rose Hall Hilton. Was a fantastic experience. Had a room to store our stuff, change, shower and rest in. Lunch was included. Enjoyed the pool and beach.
  8. Our Radiance cruise in March only had half and half the first two days. The remaining 7 days we were told they were out.
  9. This was from the restaurant next door. You can see the man made beach on the right. It was only a 5 minute walk from ship. We rented a room for the day but they also had day passes available.
  10. It’s a man made beach. I’ll see if I can find my pictures.
  11. I take motion pills the entire cruise and usually the day or two after as well. This seems to help me anyway.
  12. I agree with the other posts so far. Glacier Bay is a must. Our last Alaska cruise was on the Encore. Beautiful ship!
  13. We went the second week of March. Initially disappointed, but it got better as the island emptied. Booked through Royal and the person meeting us was late, the boat left without our group, we had to wait for another one, in the sun on the pier, it cost us over an hour of our time. (There were 5 ships in port that day.) We arrived at Pearl Island after 2 pm and the island was packed. Nowhere to sit. It eventually cleared out after 3 pm and we were able to find chairs and go in the water. Chairs were easier to find far from the water. We ate lunch - meh - but I know food is subjective. It almost emptied at 4 pm because a tour left to swim with pigs. We left about 5:30.
  14. On Radiance last week. Wore shorts or jeans to most main dining room dinners. No issues.
