  1. And from the Entertainments page, under Q&A's: Can I pre-book entertainment on board for all ships? You’ll be able to view the bookable events if sailing on Arvia, Britannia or Iona via My P&O Cruises before your holiday, or you can book once you’re on board via My Holiday for these ships. Some events can be booked by turning up on the day and this will be managed on board. Please refer to your daily Horizon paper when you get on board for the booking details of each event.
  2. This is from my cruise personaliser: Dining Whet your appetite with the full cruise experience - choose from a variety of speciality dining restaurants and delicious menus, and book 14 days before you board. If reservations for certain venues haven’t opened yet, you’ll see ‘Please enquire on board’ below. Just ask one of our onboard team to book you in once you’re on the ship, or use My Holiday and book from your phone.
  3. I was also on the same cruise a Megabear and Kittyonions and after all the problems have opted for club dining on Britannia in September and also on Azura in January. It's been a while since I have been on Britannia, last time was in the Caribbean 2019, so can't comment on the food choices, etc. but have had several good cruises on her.
  4. Our next two cruises are on Britannia and Azura and I opted for club dining when I booked. Hopefully things will be better on Arvia when we sail in March, I doubt it, but I can live in hope!!
  5. Tahnk you for an interesting and informative read. I sounds as though the booking of dining venues hasn't improved since we were on in May. We enjoyed the 6th Street Diner and had two evening meals there and a lunch.
  6. Another day of not summer as we are forecast rain, just for a change, this afternoon with strong winds I've nothing excititng planned for my day, a trip to Tesco in a wee while, and as I made some strawberry jam yesterday I might make some scones to go with it. Hope everyone has a good weekend. .
  7. Sorry to hear you're in pain after your dental treatment, and hope you soon feel better.
  8. Today the weather seems to be sunny but it is overcast too, plus it's not that warm 16c. Yesterday we ended up with rain, I know we need the rain as the reservoir is only about half full, but I've had enough!!
  9. I've been on both Iona and Arvia and as a rough guide if the cabin door is on the right the bed is next to the wardrobe and if on the left the sofa is next to the wardrove. Apparently there are exceptions to the rule.
  10. I'm fed up of this weather. It started off as a nice sunny day, now it's clouded over again and is breezy.😒
  11. Sun is trying it's hardest to get out down here, but looking out earlier this morning it was very misty and looked as though we were in for another dull and drizzly day. I'm taking the train up to Plymouth this morning to go shopping to get things I need for my cruise, which is coming around quickly now - only five weeks! Where did that time go?
  12. That's really good news. We'll have to meet up for a drink to celebrate, and perhaps I'll be all clear by then too.🤞
  13. When on Arvia in May we had a least three occasions when we (jiust two of us and we were prepared to share tables) walked up to the MDR as we were having problems with the app and were given a pager, with waits of about between half an hour and an hour on the first two occasions. On the other we were told ninety minutes, but after going to Andersons Bar to wait we decided we didn't weren't prepared to wait that long and handed the pager back and ended up in The Olive Grove as a walk in.
  14. Have found my Horizons of our Iona cruise with dining times, the below are from a sea day.
  15. We were on Iona in January last year. MDRs are all bookable via the app. I can't remember which are open for lunch and breakfast. Skydome shows - you don't book, but they get very busy, so it is advisable to get there early. It is the same as Arvia in that there are chairs by the pool but the upper deck there is benched seating (with steps down) with seperate table and chairs behind. I hope that makes sense.
  16. We were on a bus coming home and passed a field of anemones and my daughter commented, to the amusement of the other passengers, "Look Mummy, a field of enemies", she is now in her forties and isn't allowed ot live it down. Another of my children refered to vegetables as "vegi bubbles".
  17. It was certainly not what I was expecting!🥴
  18. I was aware of this too in May and on one occasion counted about eight tables from where I was sitting, so how many more where there that I couldn't see?
  19. Back to dull drizzly weather again, after two reasonably nice days. Kalos, Hope all goes well for your granddaughter at the hospital today. Struggling to do anything online this morning, as our internet is on a go slow😒. I've nothing planned for today, but everyone sounds as though they have a busy day ahead.
  20. We fly out on the 15th for the return transatlantic crossing.
  21. Thanks for the photo. We've got a de-luxe balcony booked for our cruise on Arvia in March, but mid-ships.
  22. We were on Arvia in May and I like the ship but no so the problems we had with the app. Have a good cruise and look forward to reading about the rest of your holiday.
