on my b2b on joy, they ran out of pods 1/2 way through my 1st leg and still were out of them for the 2nd leg. 😞 i asked both my room steward and guest services. they both said the ship is out of them. i like having a coffee maker in my room. i dont need to get dressed to get coffee

well, the recreational staff that run gokarts/lazer tag (as well as cruise director staff) are considered officers (they can eat at the garden cafe) and i assume much more compensated than room stewards and restaurant staff. for celebrity, i assume you mean the 'all-sail' promo or whatever they call it? bundled tips/internet/drinks package. you dont have to accept it. buy internet or drinks separately

Elevators: Why do we need to press 2 buttons (one for each bank)
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
i usually dont see able bodied people for just 1 flight up. but i have seen able bodied people do 2 flights down. it's probably faster to walk down -
Elevators: Why do we need to press 2 buttons (one for each bank)
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
the sign in the elevator says it can hold 20+ people. just form 4 rows of 5 people. i might put markings on the floor for where people should stand then constantly ride that elevator during peak hrs (lunch/dinner) and see what happens. 😛 -
Elevators: Why do we need to press 2 buttons (one for each bank)
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
aft elevators on prima were incredible slow in arriving, no matter time of day. it got to the point where i (and others) would go up the fwd elevators. thats where i learned that even though prima holds ~1000 less pax than breakaway, it's almost the same length as breakaway. (1100' vs 1000') and if i'm in the aft section and need to go down, i would walk down than take prima's aft elevators no matter how many flights -
carnival is cash flow positive??? if not, then how are they positive cash nonconsumer deposits?

Why tip the concierge if you don't use him? On celebrity, I had a (free) concierge room which came with a concierge. I never used him. I could do everything myself. No idea if he's part of the ship tips but I never left him a tip. I never even met him.

Breakaway has Elon Musk's Starlink internet already?
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I can't do voip calls using Google voice. 😞 It seems to connect but no ringing. Then after a min, disconnect. Tried multiple times and to different phone numbers -
Breakaway has Elon Musk's Starlink internet already?
fstuff1 posted a topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I'm on the regular package and not the upgraded premium that allows video. Ie: YouTube and Netflix Speed test says starlink?? I'm currently in the Atlantic somewhere in-between ny and the Carribean. Pretty good speed, especially for non-premium internet 😮 -
Post covid: Which big ships have a pool table?
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Breakaway has a pool table. and it's $3.50/game. 😮 Luckily it's a 14day cruise and i bought the unlimited package for $175. (casino obc) downside: ship is rocking right now and pool balls are moving on their own, so can't shoot right now 😞 -
Unlimited internet package: Trade in value for 300min?

only if you choose the premium package -
Unlimited internet package: Trade in value for 300min?
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I'm on my 14day cruise and trade in value for 300min is only $145, not $200. 😞 (See attached pic) So doing the math: 13 x $25 is $325 - $145 is $180. 180/13 is $13.85/day. Incedentally, for a 7 day cruise: 6 x $30 is $180 - $100 trade in is 80. 80/6 is $13.33/day. So no savings for a longer cruise. 😞 -

Prima: Why rename Garden Cafe and Teppanyaki ?
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
after sailing on Prima, that's a good explanation. they should have named it mini-buffet or at least added that wording -
NCL Joy docking at Miami on sat, April 1 @ 7am. flights to ny is $100 cheaper out of FLL than Mia. 10:30am fll - LGA on Jetblue. I'm traveling solo with carry-on and backpack. google says it's a 25min uber ride from port miami to fll ($21). Think i can make the 10:30am flight with ease on a sat morning?

NCL Joy docks at 7am. 9:40am flight from FLL to JFK on Jet Blue?
fstuff1 replied to fstuff1's topic in Florida Departures
doh.. Joy docks in Miami! yeah, never going to make the 9:40am flight out of FLL. Mods- lock this thread pls -
I'm thinking of doing this for my flight next year. is there additional cost for the stand-by flight? can you pick your seat or it's going to be a middle seat almost guaranteed?

thx for the link. next flight is 12:37pm but from reading the threads in your link, i could put myself on standby for 9:40am flight when i get to airport. if so, how do i put myself on standby list? and is there an additional cost? hm.. i could also do 10:30am to La Guardia and still put myself on standby for 9:40am flight?
